Description Hrm, well, as you can see I saw Valkyrie. Normally not a big fan of Tom Cruise, but the movie was excellent (and I have to admit, the man DOES look good with wavy hair and an eye patch~).

Tried a bit more smudging and fooling around with Curves and Selective Color levels as well as Gradient Maps.

It's up for grabs if anyone wants it, just remember to credit me if you do.

Valkyrie ⓒ United Artists, Brian Singer, Christopher McQuarrie, etc.

I just saw this movie. And to think that there were some good men in Germany that wanted a change and to let the world know that not all of them were like hitler. Shows to me that I have respect for them whom gave there life in 1944 That wanted the world to know that not all germans were bad. God Bless them that gave there life even though it was a failture on there attempt that god by all means forgave them. I know this is like 60 something years later but boy. I can see why they should be entered into the heavons. They knew hitler was a bad man... But the ending was sad I havent felt emotional for a long time till I saw that movie. Really touched me for them men and women who died.

Unfortunately, as Beck says in the film, "It doesn't always go according to plan". I thought over the small details, and I realized: they were tiny changes that made this plan go terribly wrong:

* Brandt moved the briefcase. Originally, Stauffenberg placed the briefcase right next to Hitler, which would most definitely have killed him
* Stauffenberg didn't place both the bombs in the briefcase, as he was interrupted before we went to the meeting.
* And of course, the meeting wasn't held in the bunker. If it had been, the world as we know it today would be completely different.

Of course, these minor details do not defer me from my belief that Colonel Stauffenberg, General Tresckow, General Beck, General Olbricht and all those invloved were the supreme heroes of WW2. I'm sorry America: your government failed to declare war on Germany and the Axis until they openly threatened you, i.e Pearl Harbour. That has lost my complete faith in the American government. I like American people, don't get me wrong.

Although these men were originally Nazis, that does not make them any less than heroes.

BTW, love the pic! Lol. Think I've rambled enough...

well the meeting was going to take place in a concrete bunker but it was to hot had the meeting took place in that bunker the explosion would have killed hitler for sure not only that it would have killed everbody in the room.

if he just threw that other bomb in the bag unarmed with the one he managed to armed hitler would have been blown away. But a great job surelysherlock.

Right? Maybe it was the fact that other people were blown out of the windows that fooled me. I wouldn't have thought the support beam to a table would have shielded the Fuhrernator from the seemingly epic explosion. I should probably take a Physics class. D:

Thanks for the comment!

I know, I totally didn't like him before this. Somehow this sudden transformation into an eyepatch wearing nazi has won me over
