I know it's a little late for this comment but........I think that Pokemon makes the best portable games (like pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of the sky/time/darkness best plot line in a pokemon game),lol I even think I have the whole types chart memorized.
At my High School there are two guys in my cafeteria class that are a year older then me and I see them playing Pokemon White without getting a weird look from someone, and in my planning class sometimes this guy comes in wearing a pikachu hat lol.
Plus if pokemon wasn't so popular then why would there be over 10 seasons and 13 movies, and it's only considerd a kids show because it's 1 of the few anime shows that parents trust (you know what I mean).
O one more point, isn't Ben 10 considerd to be for kids too.

Pokemon is a really great portable game series.
I think Pokemon went through a period of time in the 2000s where it was "uncool", but I think now it's experiencing an upswing in popularity/acceptance, which is nice to see.
It is, but that's the point. Oh, delicious irony.

Well.... it's the old games that have this certain touch to them. Like Heroes 3, KotOR, Jedi Outcast etc.
Every time I'm going to some shop, with games and electronic stuff, I end up arguing with a bunch of 10-14 year olds about which game is the best. Yeah.... I also use the line: "In my time..." God, I really feel old during these conversations. And I'm not really much older than these guys. It's just they keep choosing their games for their shoot-outs, graphics and hack and slash thing, and not for the plot.
You caused me to..... wait.... oh, I get it. Let's play with the Rafalskimi's head, was it? He's half crazy and half senile, he'll forget I said anything! Wait... what was this about...?

xD I was with my boyfriend, and we were both dressed as "mall goths". We were walking through the mall and this woman and her one little kid walked by. The little boy loked at me, and his eyes widened, then he ran to him mom yelling "mommy! they're scary!"

I have a hard time taking people seriously when they think playing so-called more mature games makes them seem older and cooler. I almost always prefer children's stuff in any form of media because I like stuff that's clean and family-friendly, dangit!
I don't usually let people know that I play PokΓ©mon, but word gets out due to the fact that I doodle them everywhere in my notebooks... to the point where random strangers in the halls will walk by and start singing the PokΓ©mon theme song. And I can't tell if I'm supposed to be embarrassed or thrilled. XD

Yeah. I find it sadder that so much mainstream media promotes all the worst aspects of society and kids grow up thinking it's cool and normal.

Well, almost. The other night I was at a restaurant, and at the table next to mine were two kids with DSes. I felt like whipping mine out and being like "SEE I'M AWESOME TOO" but I knew they'd probably just make fun of me for having Pokemon in mine.
Well, if their mom didn't scream and pull them away and use pepper spray on me first.
