I loved these shoes, and I had them for so long. They cost $9 at Wal-Mart and I had bought them for my cousin's wedding in Scotland. When I got back I started using them at Wendy's where they got mangled, torn, wet, and destroyed in every way possible. At Christmas I got a brand new pair and I was forced to retire these pieces of history.They really were getting ratty-tatty, as my mom put it.

I hate that.. you buy some cheap shoes and they are really comfy and become really tatty, and the sad day comes when you have to throw them out. Heart breaking

Maybe we should form a support group, I'm currently going through the transition between insanely-comfy-but-falling-to-pieces shoes and new-and-nowhere-near-as-comfy shoes.
