Both of them got their qualities. I really liked the swirly frame/border in the first one, which has a nice feel to it.
What I like about this one is the general feel the overall colour gives me. The brownish-orange in this one radiates a warm nice and comfortable feeling hich matches the theme perfectly.
I wouldn't know what to do with it either but I feel the composition and text still needs a bit of work to get it spot on to my opinion. I'm not such a big fan of the drop shadow for fonts and all. But that's just something personal. The font itself could do the job in terms of giving it the classy look it demands.
Other then that the colloage is skillfully done and seems to work fine for the subject.
Good luck with it if you decide to do another and your other works too off course. Keep it up.
