surrealistdreamer — Conrad asks a logical question

Description And now I ask a question: Why has no one thought to check {...} grave for his name? Did {...} see his name, but didn't think it was worth remembering since he was dead? And how in the hell was he able to just hang around his grave talking to birds with no one noticing? Surely a grounds keeper for a cemetary would notice something like a corpse walking around. For that matter, who animated {...} and for what purpose?

Perhaps it just raises too many questions and I should just roll with it. XD

His face is a bit out of character, but it could just be that this obviousness moves him.

Tessa answered this, actually! She said that it just didn't cross Zombie's mind at the time, and he never thought to look at it.

surrealistdreamer In reply to VyaliasKryptonite [2010-05-24 22:39:04 +0000 UTC]

I can buy that, but why has it never been brought up by anyone else in the comic?

VyaliasKryptonite In reply to surrealistdreamer [2010-05-24 23:18:58 +0000 UTC]

Huh. Good point. x'D
Perhaps they just assumed that because they know Zombie can't remember his name, he just never looked at his tombstone? I'unno. *shrug*

I actually asked Tessa about it! XD Apparently he just didn't think to look, and the time he did he couldn't find the grave.

surrealistdreamer In reply to Arada [2010-05-24 18:08:40 +0000 UTC]

Who covered the gapping hole in the ground that might've clued him in then? What did the grounds keepers thing of a missing corpse?!

Arada In reply to surrealistdreamer [2010-05-24 20:49:32 +0000 UTC]

I'm not the artist dear, I don't think he knew. Usually there are about three to four cemetraies per city, and they can be rather large. If he wandered away and got lost, not really paying attention, he most likely didn't know where to go. Hell, if I found myself to be alive or atleast, undead after well, rotting the the ground for like, 10 years I wouldn't be looking at my name, I'd be looking at everything else.

Graverobbers are quite common near cities. I'm sure his family would have been contacted but I doubt they're looking for an undead man. -shrugs-

And we don't know whether he was even reanimated at his grave or in someone's basement. Hell, we don't even know why he was brought back to life in the first place!

KasumiAlche [2010-05-24 04:36:29 +0000 UTC]

Maybe he was given a blank tombstone? Or buried in an grave w/o a tombstone and the one he sits on in the comic is someone else's?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

surrealistdreamer In reply to KasumiAlche [2010-05-24 16:01:11 +0000 UTC]

That would explain why he doesn't know or it was graffitied on or something. Or that wasn't even the cemetary he was burried in.

KasumiAlche In reply to surrealistdreamer [2010-05-24 16:04:12 +0000 UTC]

Maybe he was buried in a ditch OUTSIDE of the cemetary! He was murdered afterall, that may be where the killer hid the body...

i believe someone did ask, in those FAQs Tessa did a while ago--if memory serves, {...}'s answer was that he just didn't think of it at the time, and has forgotten where he was buried. i guess you could put it down to being confused and disoriented after being reawakened?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

surrealistdreamer In reply to aingeal [2010-05-24 03:29:47 +0000 UTC]

I wasn't really being serious. Though it does beg the question whether he was actually at his grave when he was resurrected. Him being there is the impression that I get, but perhaps there's going to be a big reveal later about it and I'll be totally wrong.

I don't know. I hope so because I'm too lazy to go searching through the FAQ's that were done and would rather read the comic explanation. Or maybe it'll never be explained and I'll have to come up with my own conclusion. That'll most likely involve aliens.

I've tried searching for an FAQ for HiNaBN all over Tessa's page but can't find one. D:
