Description
This illustration is part of an introduction series about not so well known animals. It's a school assignment for my illustration class. The meaning of the series is to teach younger children more about non-cliche animals. Most of the animal books for children are about cats, dogs, horses, dolphins etc. and I want to change that.

For this project I left out a lot of details to end up with a more stylized version of the animals used. In my opinion this is more fitting for younger children. I also used a very minimalistic background for each of them so that it's not too distracting.

This is the second one: the kiwi bird. These birds have one of the cutest chicks I've have ever seen -> [link]

It turned out better than I expected, especially the colouring
