And the second pic of me today, lol.I love the pose my teacher let me choose to draw him.
But I also love this chara so...
I think the entire pic came out the right way. I wanted Tetsu to give an uneasy feeling away in this, to the watcher I mean. I choose to draw the bloodlines in later, when the pic was actually finished in the sketching phase...it worked fine with the dark intention of his nature in this I think.
I always drew him harmless, comical, sexy even.
This time I wanted to give a little from that away what I already have read about Totetsu in the Internet and books of Chinese myth.
Tao-Tie are man eaters after all and I cant think of him as a harmless pet in some ways...nor as a harmless human avatar either.
Please enjoy and tell if I should ink the boy out, and what you think of this pic in general, I love to hear such ^^

It just suddenly popped up in my mind and persisted to be drawn....I think I did well. It fits him, dont you think too?
I read so much about these beasts...it interesting to say at last how different they can act and be in the myths. On one side, they fuel the imagination of artists in many ways more then one, on the other hand they have eating habits that can send you running screaming!

It makes no sense to me, since the most probably never tried to read more about the beasts she used in it. And they seem often to forget that he was wong, before! A endless miracle to me^^

I love in one fic by Telanu, how Chris, who still couldn't see Tetsu's animal form, finally noticed just how sharp Tetsu's teeth were...
And, yeah, I read up on my mythology when I first read the story with Wong... that was awhile ago, but I still remember thinking...."harmless, He is not!!!"

i confused it with another D / Leon one I read on Fn and aff.
I think the latest of that is whipped creme or so...I read it until the second half...had a lot Testu and Chris talking in it too but confused me after some time with all the integrated charas of an other manga.
I stopped reading it because I could A no longer follow and B, It was somehow turning in my humble opinion , to a simply mary / garry Sue fik...Sadly. It had a good start. As so many;___;

That whole series started off good... the whole fake/PSOH crossover, but after a while it wandered so far out into left field that I couldn't follow it any more... I gave up that one five "seasons" back...
And I liked the fic you sent me... But you know I like all of your stuff, right...

I wrote here something I did never before....sure; even in my wyb ficlet is some darker tendency but nothing like what I did into this one.
If my latest pic is any indication, then I would say I did mature in a different way in my writings...have seen that one too in the YYH fandom with some of my stories. I have that tendency to write sometimes stuff I , myself have a hard time to read.
I think its born out of the many things I did read about tetsu lately and of some I heard about the new volumes of PSOH in Japan.

Well, I do want to see the rest. I told you, I liked it alot. It had a very dark and creepy feel to it. There was one line that really stuck in my head as I was reading it... I know I mentioned it in my note... but it was the incense burner glowing deeply red in the darkness of his room... loved the stark imagery of that.

It was a sentence that stuck in my head since I did re read the entire manga anew...in case I did miss something.
In china, incense has often a dark meaning too. it was not only burned for keeping the smells at bay...it was often also used in nearly every aspect of spiritual life. Also, the used different smells to keep darker beings at bay or to call them even.
Got that from my friend.
I noticed, that nearly all in Dยดs pet shop that is happening is tied to an incense burner in some way...hence the often first rule, keep it Burning!

Yeah, I noticed that too in the manga.
Incense had a lot of meanings in many cultures. But it was just such wonderful imagery that left me with that creeped-out feeling...

I am thinking on painting him out instead....he is that kind of drawing material that fits with that way of coloring....he looks odd, even to myself. When I look at it I get a goosebumps all over my skin...somehow I have to many dark thoughts lately I draw down on paper!

Yes! He will deffinitely be colored...I am only not so sure how I will do that.
He gives me a shaky feeling when I look at the pic and I Did Draw the darn beast/ avatar!
Do not ask me why I choose this pose and the dark meaning of the pic...my sometimes teacher told me later he found I have hit the mark from what he knew from me about them. He was suprised too and wants me to color it at least in oil too. its disturbing to see him as wild as he looks in this , or?
