Description This is just to show the variety of stuff I do tho the folks who see only this collection. It was quite a challenging painting because the little bugger kept on fleeing so I had to hold her with one hand and draw with the other - go figure. Comments welcome as always.

i don't paint either (like other says) but i thought the composition is great; simple and appealing. This snake is lovely! the colors (and the fading in the leaves) are great too.

Thank you very much for the comment. I don't think that it is neccesairy for somebody to be a painter to comment on a painting. Many principels are the same no matter if digital art, trad. art oder photography.

Aww, what a cutie. Don't you love those huge eyes?
Can't really offer you critique on technical aspects since I don't draw and paint. All I can tell you is that I like it a lot!

4 hours of science? Well science is good for you , but 4 hours can be a bit tiresome (in particular if it is physics or chemistry). What science exactly?

agri... biology... chemistry... a bit of all. And in between saving the boiling PCR-gel of my colleague. I knew something smelled funny in the lab .

Lol...at least it's not too monotonous.
How did you notice, doesn't it always smell funny in the lab? Better check on him when he's running the pcr too...

It smelled good actually, sort of like caramelizing sugar.
He's Arab so better not provoke an Arab with a lab full of chemicals behind him

Are you sure he used PCR gel and not "Tortengelatine"

Better not provoke *anyone* with a lab full of chemicals behind him, their "language" is universal...

I don't think he has anything to dangerous... we came to a very fruitful collaboration in the writing department later. Now I ave Ethidiumbromide on my keys...

Nah, nothing too dangerous. Just tons of Ethidiumbromide, for example. Well, it's probably just overrated anyway, and since you don't usually eat your keys...at least I suppose you don't.

I can tell you it was a strangler from the way it tried to strangle my finger when I painted it... but other than that, sorry, I may be a biologist but I'm clueless about those!
After I finished painting it I took a picture of it and let it roam in it's native habitat again.

Oh, the snake is cute! I like snakes for some odd reason so this is a fave. Plus you did an awesome job on this!

Cute decribes the snake perfectly because it was minute! I had quite a struggle holding on to it with one hand and painting it with the other, but I think it was worth it.

OH...she's so cute. Love her little face...she has a smug expression ... like she's saying..."I'm so cute..paint me!!" You've got the smooth slithery look of her coils so well. and the tree branch and leaves are awesome!! Great work.

Well, I cheated with the snake on the leaves. I first drew the snake and then the branch... I could never have gotten her to model for me otherwise Thanks for the comment. Thanks for the comment.
BTW Watercolours and tropical rainforest don't mix well, I learned it the hard way!
