Hi there! I'm here on behalf of #Traditional-Artists , giving to you all the feedback this piece gained at our last Critique Night!
I hope it is helpful and you can use it for your future work!

βThe usual premise with most pieces is that in any portion, people restrain the set of values in any area. You have a full range of value through the piece, but in each segment, you seem afraid to go out of a set of value for tonality and lose the shape of things. Don't be afraid of darker darks, and lighter lights through the whole of the piece, not just to denote colors. Also a piece of advice, try to draw the lines lighter, because when you color over them with the colored pencil it leaves a bad line where the grays were, but still leaving it apparent. Interesting piece and I like the dichotomy of red on blue that you balanced fairly well.β

βWell first, lovely colors and quite an imaginative background! Admittedly, I am a big fan of swirly bright things I like the way the character's head is turned, it makes for a more interesting position. Okay, suggestions now: First, the overall composition could be improved by two things: one, the main character could be more to the left for better compositional balance. Also, the white space around the blue shapes where you left the paper looks a little haphazard. My personal rule is either make a distinct border, or fill in to the edges and crop away! It makes for a cleaner, more finished look in my opinion.
Next, my favorite topic, and one I always harp on: Values. Take a look at this in black and white and see where the darkest darks are and the lightest lights. You'll see how there are a lot of shades of mid-grays here when the color is removed. An interesting way to approach this is an underdrawing or underpainting, where you either use ink, paint, or a light layer of colored pencil or charcoal - doesn't matter what you use, just try finding all your values first and rendering those, then adding color over the top. I'm bad at describing this but a good colored pencil book should have some nice instructions! Anyway doing this will add lots more range of dark to light. Have fun and keep practicing!β

βI like very much how you did the fur, both with the clean outlines and in the shading, it's nice not to have just a solid orange body but some varying hues. I my opinion the head is slightly too big for the body, and you really shouldn't combine orange fur with pink eyes. Apart from that I like your colours, the orange and blue make a nice contrast. Maybe you could have added more shadows to give it more depth, as well as doing some more highlights. But otherwise colour and posture are nice and lively, and the turn of the head is a nice effect. Well done!β

βOkay, I just gotta say that you're great with colored pencils. Maybe it's just me, because I can't color worth the underside of a rubber duck, but I really like your coloring. Secondly, I like the texture of the fur. Very nice. The wolf in general is drawn nicely, I think. However, the eye just doesn't really fit... I know it's supposed to be anime-ish, or whatever you wish to call it, but an eye without shading on a body with great shading just looks flat, and it doesn't really fit in the picture. Shading of the iris doesn't count. Also, the background kind of...confuses me. :/ I can see that it's supposed to be kind of tropical, or something like that, but it's just strange and doesn't really fit. It's kind of confusing. BUT, the wolf itself is nicely done. :3 Good job!β

Oh neat, a traditional piece! With colored pencils? I love the oranges and reds in the character and all the colors in the background swirls. :3
