Sirauk stood patiently beneath Dag as he sat in the saddle, waiting for the signal to begin the ascent of the mountain. The boy’s blond hair blew in the wind, green eyes taking in the other two pairs waiting for the start. The slightest tug of a coy smile drew at the corner of his mouth, his absently running along Sirauk’s strong neck. She already knew what to do, the duo had been working together for a while now, so it was easy for them to read each other, and the female tokota was completely calm, her powerful lungs easily drawing in air in slow, relaxed breaths. Her pale eyes searching the mountainside while she plotted the route she would take to reach the peak. She would worry about the descent later, and with a slight sigh her eyes took in the other two tokota that were waiting, the brown half-mane had caught her attention, but with a flick of her ears her eyes focused on the mountain again. She was ready for the challenge.
