haha!!! piece of advice though the DORA balls will explode on you but the DIEGO ones are strong.Β
Ive got plans for next year like Gothic Orianna, dark valkyrie diana and stuff.

Another thing i noticed with league cosplays is that they turn out looking very flat so for the ball especially you have to add stuff on it that doesnt belong there like i dont know if you can tell that i did because the fact that in real life things come out different obviously.

I have found a giant styrofoam ball in two parts sooo... And my ball would be taken into pieces for transport and storage (I got a super tiny home ._.)
Yup I agree, that's why I'm trying to play with textures, paint, patterns (actually I'm trying to find a great Brocart for the gold parts and add some embroderies (lol so Fancy, so french XD a bit like yo' did)
...And reliefs (eva foam yay! I have kind of "sculpted" foam for the diamonds on the skirt).
gothic Orianna is too damn cool! Can not wait to see this 
myself, I'm planning to do Morgana as Ghostbride for Japan Expo 2014 (a major event in EU, near Paris) SUPER BIG CHALLENGE MODAFUCKA. . . *faints*
Yeah I saw you added things such as the fringes with pieces, that is 20% fancier LOL! And the spikes are sooo flat on the splash artwork, myself I decided to carve those in a 1,2cm thickness ><
I think everyone has his own vision of the skin, trying to be the more accurate is not the only path, you have to put a bit of your own style too. And you had done it very well! ^^

thank you =] i feel i was a bit lazy on my ball though since the first one had broken i got a little discouraged.Β
next year when i make my gothic ball im going to try to use Worbla instead of the craft foam so my ball might explode again but the worbla will keep the proper shape

Just forgot to ask you, with which material did you made the spikes? Because my solution failed (I've bought a too small sheet of foam and in France it is almost impossible to find some lol).
