Nice line work and pose!
And, having lived through them, the '80s weren't all that great, Olivia Newton-John notwithstanding.

We can say the same about the 90's. Pretty boring.

You really managed to get the 80's feeling here.. Somehow she remind me of a old old comic I saw when young.. darn I don't recall the name ><

It is true that manga from the 80's tend to influence me the most.

The look that inspired me to create my Workout Ninja Girls back in college.
Man do I feel old. I was born in '82.

I see you're working on dynamic poses now.
Oh, and ironically, I'm listening to a CD called "Newer Wave 2.0" which is a cd of 80's covers done by modern artists (well, modern back in 1998). Song right now: "Love Missle F1-11" by New Mind, covered from Sique Sique Sputnik.
Certainly, though, there was some good music to come out of the 80s...

Even though I born smack in the middle of the 80s, I'm still finding music from it that I like. Or at least new variations of it by newer artists.
Stuff soothing and relaxing like Jean Michel Jarre's "Oxygene part IV", to sad stuff like New Order's "Elegia", to dark stuff like Skinny Puppy's "Assimilate".
Some of my favorite movie scores also come from that time. Star Trek II, Aliens, Terminator, Star Wars, Akira, Robocop, Predator, and some others.
Plus all the New Wave stuff that people typically remember from that time.

Well the story involving Subi-chan does take place in a place reminiscent of the 80's. The 80's were the golden era of anime and the anime from then is what got me into the genre at the beginning.

Nicely done, Sutibaru.

I used the 80's style of manga as a reference. Their heads usually are a bit bigger back then. Though that is because they are generally semi-chibi.
