So I've been keeping an eye out on the casualty count list for Arc 9 fav.me/d7gnzrx
With Mission 3 out things got scary ;A;
Atsushi Kitsune was killed, and then the fox faction retaliated by ambushing the Dragon Party.
Specifically Hojos. Masanori Hojo's children and nephews ;A;
Shinobi Killed in the Ambush:
- [#180578] Masayuki Hojo (Killed by the Fox Faction Ambush; Fatal Burns)
- [#160480] Ujiyasa Hojo (Killed by the Fox Faction Ambush; Fatal Stab wounds)
- [#170879] Takanori Hojo (Killed by the Fox Faction Ambush; Fatal Stab wounds)
- [#various] A handful of other Dragon Faction Shinobi also lost their lives in the Ambush.
;A; Now, unless you're obsessive compulsive like me and pay attention to the registration numbers you may not have realized these guys were young. Masayuki would be 17-18, Ujiyasa Hojo would have been 21-22, and Takanori would have been 19-20. Seriously only one of them was even considered of age according to Torogakure's traditions.
I'm really overwhelmed and sad for these side families ;A; Like I can't contain my feels. His son was murdered and his blood was used to write a message to the Dragon faction. ;A; One Hojo was killed for every Kitsune.

It's so werid how the two people you drew in this picture had similar aspirations (is that the correct word) or were similar in a way.
Like for your head canon for Hojo's son, our he was going to marry his girlfriend and give Hojo grandchild. He was happy with life, and what was to come.
Atsushi was going to marry Makoto, he had already introduced her to the family, and they highly approved of her. He had make special rings for them for when he was going to propose. He was going to give his Mother and Father grandchildren and his younger sister a couple niece or nephews.
Both deaths are horrible, and will cause or have caused so much damage to the families as well. Too much death for me, i'm out.
It's a shame though, Hojo's son was so good looking, would be beautiful eye candy. Even dying and buried, he'll probably still be good looking.

Is it. orz. They're so similar yet so different. They both probably didn't plan on fighting, probably just sided with their clan and got caught in the crossfire. But Hojo's son's death was probably intentional. xD

Just imagine that moment where he realizes he's going to die at Yuki's hand.
Then imagine that moment where his girlfriend is at home too excited to sleep and wondering how she's going to tell her parents she'll be moving out soon.

Yeah I totally agree, just- he was given a lot more life with these comments. And now even if I want to be mad at how he's trying to handle things I won't be able to help thinking about the son he lost, and the proud excited father, father-in-law, or grandfather he could have been.
