Just to show a sketch of a character I'm working on for Caldyra.Was going to keep it to myself but I thought why not ask for feedback!

I love the fine details of the face. The expression captured is amazing.

Haha, Borus- I love his name xD In Poland it's a funny one, there was "Druh Borus" in every second movie or comic with scouts (druh is a position or a rank, the patron of the group, no idea how it is in english xD) He was always a goofy character, and this one certainly doesn't look like one

The sketch looks nice, I like the expression of his face. Behind that charming smile of him, is this going to be a more dangerous personality 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
Love the detail on his face as well as the control of folds you already displayed on his clothes, so far. Depending on what characteristics he will have, this pose might be quite a nice choice or maybe a bit "too playful", but again, this highly depends on what nature he is.
The only thing I have to say is his smile. Perhaps, it's only the rough strokes of the sketch-phase that gives me the feeling of him being somewhat "creepy-high", but just that I mentioned it: Pay attention to it in your further painting process as I believe it might be a little too big / exaggerated.

So far this is coming along really well! I love how you did his pose! And for some reason I just REALLY love his pants! Maybe it's all the wrinkles and detail?

Your sketch-style is so nice, I really enjoy the loose lines but also everything looks well coordinated. = D
Also, it is interesting to see him in this kind of clothes, since he used to look like a wild warrior and somehow his face has a flirty expression, which gives him this manly cuteness, I hope this doesn't sound weird.

He's definitely a huge improvement, talking among the pictures of caldyra. He's fluid, and he's sending all his -awesome- sexyness to us. It may seem a bit modern,but if you consider the fact he's by the beach, then medieval swimsuits were actually pretty much this...or nothing (heheheh..)
I feel a bit uneven about his right hand (would be at the left part of the pic-I hate the right/left thing with paintings). While the other one is clearly in front of him, this one would be either waving upwards, backwards and standing beside him. I know the issue can be solved with the shading but..I dunno..
I may be wrong though

You're right about the hand.. i hope fixing the size and using a bit of atmospheric depth could help show that the hand is going behind the hip.
The era of the clothing I'm inspired by is the musketeer era

I could have sworn it was set in the medieval era..mostly because of the common image of musketeers.
However if the location change and we go to a northen place, then you are completely right!

this sketch seems a lot more fluid than your previous figures!
the only thing that bothers me is that something about it is reading as too modern to me. it mighttt be the lack of rendered materials though, when i look at the contours.

The era I inspire his clothing to be in is: the musketeer era/style.. with without the hats or sword types.
The pats he's wearing is a typical men's pantalon from that time. His shirt is made of leather.

Dunno why, but that position of the right hand kinda looks like he is trying to put his hair behind the ear, like his hair is that long to do that lol
Is he trying to wave at someone or smth? Maybe you could move a bit forward while you are still in this phase.. dunno just my thoughts
