Zuko and Dev Patel.
I was going to have a full body shot comparing the two, but I got lazy. I mean really lazy. I didn't even add Devko's little decorations on his armor. I tried, but I didn't do.
Some of the anatomy still looks off, but this is as far as I'm willing to take it.
No More! Too much!

I'm sure Dev will do a good job, but why couldn't they have done a little bit more on his scar?

I think Dev is a pretty good actor... he even almost made me cry in Slumdog Millionaire.
As to the scar... Either they ran out of money for make-up, or they decided Dev would look wierd with a bright red scar on his face... I mean, the cartoon scar was very unrealistic-- real burn scars don't look like that.
But yeah. More scar would have been sexier.

But the thing is, that scar was symbolic. It represented Zuko's duel nature. His inner struggle with good and evil. It just looks so blah in the movie.

I think since its classified as a kids movie they tried to tone it down so the kids wouldn't freak out too much

It doesn't look nearly as realistic in the cartoon :d but ehh. Its just a guess.
And yes, that would probably give me nightmares.
