i killed ^hesitation

some of you might know i ended this series with #10. however i knew long ago that i need to redo some of the shots to be able to call it a series and to be able to look at it as a whole. i'm not trying to actually reshoot the photos that i'm replacing, they are wrong in every way so i'm replacing them with totally new ideas.

some of you will not like this. this kind of stuff actually happens and it's sad, i just happen to have a need to present it in my way. i'm not saying this is 100% real looking as reality doesn't look this "pretty". it's just a photo but i do hope it evokes feelings, perhaps controversial ones.

Q: what do you use for blood?
A: different types of fake bloods that can be bought from a theatre supplies store, brands such as Kryolan. the wound on the neck is done with wax by Kryolan specifically for that purpose.

this is inspired by the scene in Braveheart (the girl in the beginning gets her throat cut).

i had to shoot this twice, i screwed up the first round. that put me down pretty bad but i am happy i decided to try again. lots of things seemed to be against me in the 2nd shoot too; it started to rain, and right when i was starting to shoot, Hesi felt like she would faint and i had to untie her and then obviously put her back. both of these in a way worked to my advantage too, the wet hair is kinda cool and the water messed up the blood…very ‘real life’ incident. often my shots tend to be too clean compared to reality, and now i got more mess that i could've ever asked for. i actually had to clean it up quite a bit in PS and now i think i’m happy with it… choosing the right shot was difficult (look out for the scraps section for the others)...but this is a basic angle, shows the lonely forest, relaxed face, lips, the dress that's barely on her, the cut on the neck while doing the PS work I had a good long while to think how it feels when life is draining out of you, the terror is overwhelming mind and consciousness is slipping out of your hands. warm liquid going down the skin, along your clothes, spreading, and at some point you can’t feel it anymore and it’s all black. you legs were shaking but not anymore. your hands were trying to get free but they relax now. fucking sad.
