Description Dragon Sheet! Yes.

Just another one of my "famous" tutorial sheets.

I used Photoshop to draw this. Make the sketchie lines on a different layer and the clean outlines after that also on a different layer.

Is the muscle system totally random?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

suzidragonlady In reply to AnuOjat [2008-07-02 12:38:11 +0000 UTC]

Not really, but I have not added any despcription also.
The anatomy is simplyfied but still follows the standard. You have upper arms, forearms, hands, thighs, calves and feet there.
I don't define single muscles in such a simple style, it all depends on what style how many details you want to have in the end.

AnuOjat In reply to suzidragonlady [2008-07-02 13:12:32 +0000 UTC]

Well i am just DONT KNOW how muscles are places in non humanoid body... so...

Anyhow: When drawing things like this: How to avoid the trauma where you seem to only draw cartoonish or totally round lines/things? That happens to me a lot; Lines are eithr distorted or theyre just some random ----- around the paper

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

suzidragonlady In reply to AnuOjat [2008-07-03 20:37:04 +0000 UTC]

I first started to look on animal's anatomy on photos and in drawing books. You need to understand how muscles and joints work and how and where they are placed in a body. It is not a rule that you need to follow "real" anatomy in art but the closer it is to real muscle structure the more "natural" it will look in the end.
You need to see these circles not as flat 2D lines, think 3D.
The linework itself is just a question of training the more you do it the better you will become.

So... sketch...doodle...scketch... Until something comes that lits your eye in happy: "SUCCESS!" ...?

PS. Id love to talk more about art with you but i am unsure if this is the right or even 'ok' place for it.

Danke!
