Okay finally finished something again.
And yes, Photoshop is just LOVE.
I have no clue how many hours I needed for this one really, but it was pretty long.
Hmm, maybe I should draw more cars again ha? I think I'm really acceptable at making "these" too.
This is ~shafau 's Transformer OC Windburn, her alt mode is a Porsche Carrera GT.
And this was done by order of ~haloson
to be a birthday gift.Happy Birthday, from me too then!!!

That's a hard part. If one wants to make it really realistic then drawings from different angles and views would be needed.

I don't have a tutorial for that unfortunatelly. I can just tell you what I used to make it.
It was fully coloured by using PS CS2, the outlines are done with the brush tool (they got coloured later), the flatcolours are on a separate layer and each tone got an own shading and light layer. The shadows and the lights are made with the lasso tool and the gradient tool. The highlights were added with the brush tool.

Dodge and Burn is not so good because you can't change things on he shades afterwards. If you use the gradient tool or just the brush tool with a darker oppacity on a separate layer for example you can play around with the oppacity of that layer and layer effects afterwards or even change the whole colour of the shadows also.
Some effects and also dodge and burn do not work so good on red tones also.

the problem I have in designing my characters is were all the parts will go. It's alittle hard to find good positions for all the parts to form a body
