1. My standard heroine eye. Not too big or small, with the right balance of innocence and level-headedness. I use it in secondary female characters, too, but not so much. I prefer them to have more expressive eyes.

2. The huge, naive child's eye. I only draw these when the kid has to be sickeningly cute. They can go on either a girl or a boy. All that needs adjusting is the eyelashes.

3. This is a man's eye, believe it or not. It can convey different things, depending on the character: mystique, sexiness, femininity, or even cruelty. Usually reserved for "villains" or male characters with rather shady personalities.

4. This one is reserved for "nice guy" characters. They can be the main male character or not. The men I draw with this one tend to be average, cool guys.

5. Another sexy eye, this one for girls. The pupil is smaller than my heroine eye, making the character look less wide-eyed and therefore more worldly. They also tend to go at more of a slant and have more pronounced eyelashes.

I don't limit myself to just these, of course. I mix and match characteristics and sometimes draw something totally different if it fits the character, which happens often.
