My very first Special! And most probably my best drawing in mangastyle ever! I was gonna make a whole doujinshi ('bout him turning the whole ship upside-down, searching for easter eggs), but I think just this 1 pic does the job. It's the most boring chair ever, but I like the bowl (I triballed it, lol) and I love the shirt. (Epic Folding ;D) I hope you can see he's eating easter eggs. (At least, most of them are.)I wonder how the Rumble Ball got there. Did Luffy really search for them first, and didn't really pay a lot of attention to what he was picking up? (Maybe he was distracted by something?) Or did Chopper have * SPOILER ALERT for the ones that havn't watched One Piece like, at all* one of his (in)famous: I-wonder-what-happens-to-his-body-if-I-feed-him-this-?-moments? (Like with Franky and the 'Cola', and the dude locked up in the fridge. Let’s say it’s due to his medical curiosity.)
Since I suck at drawing backgrounds, he doesn’t have any. Pretty big chance he’s at the Going Merry or Thousend Sunny, judging by his super-relaxed pose. Though he easily feels at ease pretty much everywhere.
So, watch the folds and shadows, look at the tribal-styled-bowl, laugh at the chair, ignore the foot and left-hand, and you do NOT want to know how much time I spend on the face. That's pretty much it. Oh, and Luffy belongs to Oda-sensei, ofcourse.

I have the same problem with the backgrounds.. It's like i simply can't think of anything decent to draw back there XD

he's luffy the only thing he'd do with a rumble ball is either smash his enemies to dust or just brake into sanjis meat keeping place

but gum gum bounce ball is that he starts running and then breath in a little then he crawls into a ball by stretching his arms and legs around his whole body then grabs his limbs and hides his head within the ball to protect it.
then he moves around bouncing as a throwed bounceball

0_0 that looks awesome XD I always had hard time drawing luffy compare to all the other manga characters.. i dunno why.. but you seem to get the hang of drawing him.. haha XD
1 suggestion=I think you need to work on the hands a little.. it looks kind of out of place? I dunno.. hhaaaaaaaa..... haaaaaaaaaaa.... *same comment as XD

ok normally most fanarts are ugly but this one i like!
u have to work on the left shoulder and the hands,especially the fingers, and that foot..
it s like 90° to the shinbone(irrealistic)and the sole of his foot looks weird,
but i like the body,the shadowing and most of all his face! THAT unlike other fanart is LUffy!

u know, they all have got really good and impressing ideas, like motive,details and there s really good colouring,
but the problem is their style, the characters dont look like Odas and there are always failures in anatomy etc and the problem with face that dont look like the characters is my biggest problem, and i cant stand that XD most fanart is overrated,they got great ideas but the execution of it fails which is a pity,
but this one really is a goodlooking luffy ^^so keep it going!

It's fun to make them do stuff they would never do in the real anime, but they must hate it that you make them do it or they must have some in-character reason for it, else they are just not them. I don't always follow my own rules though. But I prefer the drawings in which I did. ^^

Ah, wow! That's so good! Luffy eating a Rumble Ball, huh... Garaunteed to be terrifying... XD The left hand needs some work, but judging from your artist comments, you already knew that... XD The little finger is too smooth compared to the rest of the hand, but apart from that, it's all good! XD

FINALLY! Some constructive critism! (Hardly had any comments from others than yours, btw)I sure waited for that a long time! That's the main reason I put them online, so real artists can tell me what I need to work on to become a better drawer myself.

Lolz, thanks. I'm gonna tell my English teacher. She'll laugh. Ha! (She doesn't know I never do my homework, and that I'm always suprised when she, at the beginning of the hour, says: Ok, students, let's start with the big test!) She never checks because my grades are good enough. I learned most of it by watching American series, so it's probably American-English, but whatever, that English too, right?

XD, lol, you shouldn't worry about it... until a couple of years ago I had to take German and French lessons, and my language teacher went round the class at the end of the year telling everyone in my class that they should take a language, and when she reached me said "Don't take a language."
I was like "Yeah, thanks for the confidence boost!" XD

Lol! What is she, a demotivational poster? I got to take at least 3 languages next year, Dutch and English ofcourse, and I can choose between German and French. (Yay, I can finally drop French!!!) I'm gonna take Spanish too, and as a Animefan, I'm trying to understand a little Japanese. Italian is a very beautifull language too, so I think I'll also study on that a little....

But it's bizare how I'm incredibly bad at learning other languages, but my MP3 is filled with songs from other countries, or really old songs, since English and American music standerds seem to have dropped in the last decade... Grr... X
