This artwork by the photographer Mathias Todtenhaupt is a completely original work it has me wondering though what is the subject in the room for. The words on the wall are german for it's snowing. although you cant see it through the window as the photographer has so well placed the array of contrast there I can assume its snowing. The paint is peeling of the walls and some of its on the ground it's cracked and dry and its starting to get spooky.

We now know the artist has named this artwork well SNOWDOOM I believe this may be in a mental hospital as its decrepit and not a lot of them run any more anyway. Places like these are all rumored to be haunted by their institutionalized occupants who all died there. So you may well ask are we seeing a ghost?

The figure in the center of the room defies our understanding of what a GHOST normally looks like but has anyone really captured the spirit of the haunting ghost; the type of ghost that scares people and kills, well Mathias might have successfully done this.

To a more critical analysis of the photo.
There is a wonderful spectrum of colour through out the room that remains cold.
There is full contrast through the photo and this serves the figure well.
the model is slender and the pose that has been selected fits the analysis i gave above. there is no noticeable Photo shopping and there is no noticeable filters applied the feathers on the shoulders could be a liitle more out of focus to enhance the blurring effect of light and the camera that took the photo was tilted slightly to the left.

the figure though has a good sense of elegance and still has power from her pose and the low camera angle.


Nothing to bad to say about this artwork. its original and well done , maybe next time Mathias might have 20/20 but this time he gets a 17.5 for a job masterfully done
