Well composed, and with both their eyes open it's a very eye appeasing shot. Great focus. Everything on the cubs that needs to be in focus is. Paw pads, eyes, lil tuffs of fluff, and then the foreground/lower rock is just enough out of the way that it dosen't negatively impact the image. Full technique and vision stars!
I took away one star for impact only for the unavoidable colour palette in the picture (all being sandy colours) but the cubs stand out in their yellowness so 4/5 there for impact.
Originality you loose a star cause you do A LOT of lion images. But cubs like this, all cub cuddly you get the remaining 4/5!
very awesome shot, lacks BAM impact, but is very appealing viewing and cuteness wise.

Many lion shot's dosen't mean you're bad at them. If anything it's an art you're perfecting. I'm just worried that it's too repetitive. THAT and variety is the spice, right?

I totally love the pose. When you go to a ZOO, you can often see sleeping animals and let's be honest - it is boring to photograph animals, who just lay still with their eyes closed. But you managed to capture cute moment of them both yet awaken - and the pose, when the one uses the other one as a pillow, is incredibly cute. Also their wonderful orange fur makes a nice contrast with gray stony background. Also, it is very clear and sharp, which is your standard, of course. Great shot, Sven!
