Description
The Totems were some of the most powerful magical artefacts in the known world, but long since lost to the ages.The Totem of the Wild, passed down between the warrior-priestesses of Zambesi, allowed their users to harness the power of the entire animal kingdom.
Your Totem of the Mind could ensnare the thoughts of others, making people more agreeable, or enabling total control over those with particularly weak wills.
And now another had surfaced; one that granted its bearer power over the elements, allowed them to summon winds and storms at will.
You had sensed its power, both inintentionally and unexpectedly. Perhaps there was some truth to the rumour that these artefacts were naturally attracted to one another. She passed you in the street, wearing it around her neck like any simple necklace or amulet, and it had practically sung to you.
So of course you followed her.
You watched her for a few hours, hanging back, keeping a safe distance, doing your best to avoid being noticed by her. She was smart, this one, and paranoid, which made for a particularly tricky combination; on four separate occasions, she very nearly caught you on her trail, and quickened her pace in response, looking over her shoulder more and more frequently...
Eventually, she came to the museum. It was late, and the building was closed. She waited until the security guard's back was turned and snuck past her...you simply used your totem to convince the poor nitwit to hand over her keys and forget she'd ever seen you, before you headed inside after the mysterious woman with the glittering ruby totem.
It didn't take you long to find her. Somehow, at some instinctual level, you knew where to go, which corridors and rooms to turn into, as you wove your way through this sprawling labyrinth of history and science. It was almost as if her totem was calling to yours, begging to be united...
Soon, you found her. The two of you, all alone together, with two of the most powerful magical artefacts of the known world...

Also, SHAZAYUMMMM, it is good to see Isis back on TV. I mean, obviously they're not gonna use that name (because of all the obvious connotations), but between the very familiar mystical amulet, the power over the elements, and that one flowing white Egyptian Goddess style Halloween costume...c'mon guys, we all know Zari is Isis from a dystopian future, and it's awesome.
Expect to see a somewhat Isis/Shazam-inspired character possibly popping up in the Onpyhverse sometime soon. Possibly.
And, hey, her second episode in the show has her getting injection-sedated, Sara and a bunch of Men in Black type agents getting mind controlled by an alien, and Ray's surprisingly hot mama getting mind-wiped. Yep, Legends of Tomorrow has officially overtaken The Flash as far as my preferences are concerned, and not even Cisco picking up a machete to fight Danny Trejo can change that.
Supergirl, Arrow, Legends, Flash. Yeah, I said it. Fight me.

Yeah... I don't think anyone is going to be using the name Isis for anything for a very, VERY, long time... Unfortunate too considering that she seems to be one of those underrated DC heroines. So I take it you like the newest member of the Waverider so far? For me I need to spend a little more time with her before I start to make up my mind. At the current moment for me, I'm expecting her to turn traitor at some point and turn over the team to what's it's name, this season's big bad, in exchange for her dead brother.
Was I the only one who realized that something was wrong with Ray's mom before she was revealed to be the Mother Dominator? Seriously, it was the opening to every cheesy porno form the same timeframe XD
So Supergirl is your number one (saw that coming a mile away,) Arrow is number two (not the most popular opinion since season four but one that we both share,) Legends THEN Flash? That's practically the reverse order of preference for most of the fan base XD

I am indeed liking her very much! It's nice for Mick to have a fellow outlaw to bond with. Granted, I've only seen one episode with her on the team...but it was a good one!
And I'm pretty sure the 80's porno vibe was exactly what they were going for. All Nate needed was a moustache and an offer to clean her pool or deliver her pizza, and it would have nailed ALL the classic tropes of the genre. 
When it's at its best, I'd say Legends is definitely better than Flash. Nowadays, at least. Season 1 of the Flash was miles better than season 1 of Legends. These days, I'd say the average episode of Legends is better than the average episode of the Flash...but only if you don't think of Legends as a superhero show. Like how you pretty much have to view Iron Fist as one of those classic, cheesy Kung-fu movies to enjoy it, if you try to think of Legends as anything but a buddy time travel adventure, it really falls down.
This season so far and all of season 5 more than made up for how awful Arrow s4 was! They got a badass new Canary, they paid for the good fight choreographers this time, and they put themselves back in track!
And... Yeah. I frigging love Supergirl. It sorta straddles the line, y'know? It can do all the campy fun stuff brilliantly, but it can also go darker when it wants to.
I feel like, of the superpowered hero shows, it has the best action (Arrow excluded from that list, on account of being a totally different beast entirely), Alex and Maggie's relationship was one of the best-written character arcs I've seen in a while, J'onn is frigging perfect, Melissa Benoist absolutely slays it every week, and... Yeah.
I just frigging love that show.
Sure, it tries a little too hard to make a point every now and then, but Arrow did that too, and nobody was complaining about it having an agenda.

I wouldn't classify her too much as an outlaw, more like a... Rebel or freedom fighter? I guess they would have some things to talk about like how much they both distrust authority but that's about it.
Well either way I knew it was coming, I'm pretty sure everyone else who isn't five understood it, and I'm shocked that Nate didn't see it coming either XD
For me, supergirl would be a lot better if it didn't try so hard to shove their political views onto us. Legends it makes sense since they're going back in time to when it was on a much larger factor, Flash I haven't seen it as much, Arrow I have seen it a few times but we expect it too since the GA comics are ridiculously left but even with all of that it was subtle and they show both sides of the argument (my big example is the episode with Patriot.) Supergirl... They feel like they're beating us over the head with their opinions

Green Arrow is a self-titled social justice warrior. He's literally all about protecting the little people who've been screwed over by the system (which is most people...)
And the gun control debate was a) relevant to the main plot of the episode and b) as you said, it gave voice to arguments on both sides, and didn't ultimately say either was right or wrong.
Supergirl does tend to get a bit carried away at times. But if we take the most recent example: if you don't like gay people, why are you still watching a show with gay main characters, whose upcoming gay wedding is a fairly major plot point? Of COURSE that character is going to be in favour of equal rights for gay people, and of course the show is going to look positively on that. It would be stupider if she wasn't and they didn't. That was fine. It got me worse in the earlier episodes, when they were really playing up how cool it was that she's a GIRL superhero and not just that, y'know, she's a superhero. Being an invincible flying dude from space with laser eyes and the strength to juggle firetrucks isn't awesome enough, apparently...
Legends... The only times I can really think of it getting political are when they went back to the civil war (and most sane people these days would agree, slavery was bad) and the couple of police-state type dystopian futures they've visited. Which, again, most people would agree, don't look like a fun place to live. There was nothing especially controversial or divisive there.
Flash, I don't think there's been any, really? None that I can remember, at any rate.
She operated outside the law of her time. She is by definition an outlaw.
And, to be fair, authority is icky.
They seem to be bonding over mutual coolness. I can totally see them chilling on a beach in Aruba, knocking back a couple of beers together.
The only way they could have nailed more of the clichés of the classical pornography industry is if he'd been there to deliver a pizza and she then realised she didn't have any money
... And if he'd had a moustache.

"Interesting place to hide. Look we both know I've been following you. At least I hope you knew that, otherwise I guess I just blew my cover." I shrug and smile disarmingly. "Either way, maybe we can talk?"

She pivots on her heel, a hand instantly reaching up, the tips of her fingers just grazing across the surface of her totem.
"Oh, I knew. You're really not even half as good as you think you are."

I slowly raise my hands, trying to show that I mean no harm.
"In my defence I didn't think I was good anyway. I come in peace and all that, no need for...what is it that yours does?"

She frowns, a curious frown creasing her brow.
"Mine? Wait...you mean..." she glances down at the totem, and then quickly back up to you. "You've got one too?"

"Guilty." I reach into a coat pocket, extracting my totem and beginning to exert it's influence to calm her. "I assume your introduction to what you can now do has been suitably insane? Perhaps we can help each other?"

"Insane? Oh, no, just the usual. Metahuman assassin who could turn into and control water...no biggie. You? I'll be honest, I didn't think there were any others..."

"Metahuman assassin you say? Well, that's certainly...wow. My experience has been a bit of a long story, though clearly not as exciting as yours. As for others, I've done just a bit of homework on the subject."

"Others? Any idea how many of these things there are, then?"
She frowns, thoughtfully chewing on her bottom lip.

"Who can say? Information of this nature isn't exactly easy to come by. Hopefully not to many. I'm sure you're aware of the damage they could cause when...used poorly. Both to their owners and those around them."

She seems to relax a little, a quiet chuckle escaping her lips.
"Actually, no. No idea. This thing didn't exactly come with an instruction manual or anything." She shrugs. "I've...kinda been winging it."

"Really? Perhaps you could use your imagination then? If someone of a more malevolent temperament ended up with one of these, or someone just messing with one, 'winging it' you could say, had a run of bad luck. You know better than I what yours can do, and what damage it could likely cause." Leaving out than I've essentially been winging it as well, I tap into my totem's power, feeding waves of fear and guilt into her mind.

She frowns, nodding, her expression suddenly becoming noticeably more sombre.
"Yeah...I...I hadn't even really thought about it. I...well, I don't really have any idea just what mine's capable of. That's, uh...that's why I'm here, actually. It ended up here for a little while, between my brother using it and ARGUS stashing it up in their vault. Figured maybe one of the professors researching it might've made some progress, but if these notes are any indication..."
She shrugs, tossing a stack of stapled papers down onto the desk.
"Nadda."

I slowly approach, placing a sympathetic hand on her shoulder.
"Sounds like quite a story. Perhaps you'd care to discuss it somewhere a bit safer? I'm sure if we just talk things out we can find a way to help each other."

"Uh...thanks, but...I learned the hard way not to trust anyone. God, I don't even know why I told you this much..."
She pulls away from your grasp, turning and quickly crossing back to the door.
"I should probably keep moving. Don't wanna make things too easy for the black-bag teams. If anyone knows anything about yours, you should probably do the same."

"When else are you ever going to have this chance?"
I follow her, beginning to channel the totem's power once again.
"To be able to talk about what's happened with someone who's been there. Who else in the world could possibly understand?"

She hesitates, faltering for just a second...
"Nobody..."
But she quickly shrugs it off. Apparently this totem bearer is more wilful than you expected...
"But that won't matter. If ARGUS catch up to me, I'm getting a bullet in the brain and this thing is getting sealed away in some vault where nobody will ever see it again."

"If someone is after you, and presumably me as well, we have a better chance of getting through this together. Not that I can blame you for being cautious, how long has it been since you've been able to trust someone?"
Clearly brute forcing my way into her mind wont' work. Instead I return to manipulating emotions. Loneliness, fear, the tiniest spark of hope...

"Yeah, and we also have more of a chance of getting caught. No offense, but you don't exactly move like someone who has the faintest idea how to hide, and I can't exactly afford to drag a dead weight around. We're safer if nobody knows where we are or what we're planning."

"I can keep a low profile when I need to. Think about it, you know people are after you, but I'm walking around scot free. If I were as helpless as you think, I wouldn't be standing here right now would I?"

I walk out of the shadows from the corner of the room
"The totem!....it's finally in my reach"

She whirls to face you, a hand darting up to her totem while the other gestures towards you. The crystal flashes with brilliant red light, and the next thing you know you're hurtling through the air, swept up by a tremendous gust of wind and hurled headfirst back into the wall.
"Who the hell are you? I guess this thing is why you've been following me all day..."

I beg up immediately like nothing happened. I grin and walk towards her very slowly like she is a nervous deer.
"My name is Harley.....I'm the owner of a totem like the one you are wearing right at this moment in time"

“So you must be the wielder of the new totem do you mind telling me what your doing in the museum like this I’m guessing you aren’t meant to be here” I smile slightly and cross my arms looking at her my totem is hidden underneath my shirt so she can’t see I have powers

She whirls, though doesn't seem particularly startled. If anything, as she folds her arms across her chest and arches an eyebrow, she seems more annoyed than anything else.
"Do you mind telling me what you've been doing following me all day? Clearly you're not ARGUS. Even their worst black-bag squads aren't so damn obvious when they're tailing someone."

“Well I asked first so go ahead and answer miss Tomaz” I look slightly annoying at her ignorance and look her in her eyes “after all your breaking and entering and I’ve been following you because I suspected something may be amiss with you” I flash her a stolen detective badge from the ccpd that I took from a detective I controlled

She visibly tenses, her expression hardening in an instant.
"How the hell do you know my name?"

“Like I said I’ve been investigating you a cyber terrorist that seems to have taken a shine to petty theft so like I said tell me why your here” I look annoyed at this point and consider using my powers to make her answer the question

"Terrorist? I'm a goddamn hero, and who the hell do you think you are? What gives you the right to judge me!?"
She steps forwards, jabbing an accusing finger at your chest.
"You don't know a damn thing about me, not one thing, so don't you dare sit there and act like you're better than me!"

“Please I don’t think I’m better than you I just take orders and I already know that your a hacker” as she jabs me I exert my power making her tell the truth “now why are you here miss Tomaz you may be a hero and I have to say some of your efforts have impressed me but tel me the truth now”

She steps back, shrugging dismissively as she turns her back to you.
"Whatever. I don't have to tell you a damn thing."
Apparently, Miss Tomaz wasn't as weak-willed as the guard outside...or anyone you'd encountered for quite a while...

I sigh “I understand you’ve done good work alright all I want to do is make sure that your not getting arrested for doing so new kind of bull crap that beuracrats think are bad” as she turns her back I use my full extent of power on her so she can’t see my totem “just tell me why your here you trust me don’t you”

The totem's familiar emerald glow spreads outwards from the gemstone, a swirling spiral of dazzling jade light...not that Zari notices, with her back to you.
With a weary sigh, she abandons her work - rifling through various ancient papers stacked upon a nearby desk - and turns back to you.
"I'm looking for information, okay?"

“Information on what?” The glowing has stopped at this point “I can help you just let me try ok” I walk closer to her as I see the slight tint of emerald in her eyes after using my abilities on her

She scowls back at you, clearly not anywhere near as relaxed as you would like.
"You called it a...a totem, right? This thing around my neck..." she gestures to the glistening red amulet, and it bobbles gently around on the slender gold chain. "I need to figure it out. What it can do, how to use it, anything."

“So you want to learn how to use your totem I get that now” I hold up a piece of paper and wait for her to turn her back using my full power again “you think this is the information your looking for and you’ll do anything to get it except physical violence or trickery against me”

"What the hell do you mean, I think this is...I haven't even.." she turns back to you, quickly trailing off when she sets eyes on the sheet of blank parchment. Her eyes dart to and fro, as if she was reading something...
"That's...that's it! That's everything I need!" she says, smiling excitedly as she reaches out to grab it from you...

I pull it back away from her “so this is all the information you want then what would you be willing to do for it zari” I look curiously at her as the emerald tint has returned to her eyes covering the soft brown they usually are

"Give it to me. Please..."
The suggestion is obviously working, since she doesn't try to snatch it from your grasp once you lift it away from her.

“Why is this so important to you zari it’s just some writing about that totem around your neck is it really worth putting yourself in jail is it really worth giving up your whole life” I pretend to look worried about her as I start playing mind games testing to see what she will do for the information

"Please. My...my brother used this totem, used it's power to fight against ARGUS when they came for us...with it, maybe I could make a difference, you know? Maybe even bring ARGUS down...real 'save the world' type stuff. I'd say that's pretty worth giving up my life, yeah...but if I try that without knowing how this thing works, all I'll do is get myself killed."

I sigh “You really are lucky your pretty and convincing miss Tomaz but the only way I’m giving you this information is if you agree to let me be your partner in this someone has to make sure you don’t get killed after all”
