"Star Trek's" "The Trouble With Tribbles" episode aired on December 29, 1967 and featured Mr. Adams as Cyrano Jones, itinerant trader and dealer in Tribbles. A favorite episode.Just 2 months later he was seen on "Lost In Space" (February 28, 1968) as Tybo the giant sentient carrot in "The Great Vegetable Rebellion" episode. One of the worst!
Good roles or bad, an actor has to have work.

True. Actors have to work. "The Trouble With Tribbles" was a great episode and Mr. Adams played his role impeccably. I guess some actors get pigeonholed into playing various characters on TV shows. A lot of actors have made the rounds playing roles for TV no matter how silly.
