These are alternative versions with very conservative upscaling (no Face Restore) and no add-ons - just using R-ESRGAN 4x+.I add them because I am still undecided which I like more. Sometimes I think the more flat and smooth faces here fit much
better to the unreal and synthetic op-art bachgrounds in the images. But decide yourself...
The corresponding images in "The Art of Policing" were 2x upscaled with Magnific AI and once again 2x with R-ESRGAN 4x+ which
is a good compromise. Magnific AI tends to overdo it quite often and it does not only cost nervs and time to fine-tune the results
but also a high amount of money which is definitely not appropriate for the service. We all know the price of High-End GPUs but
their pricing is far beyond what I would assume to be fair. And as they don't seem to own this hardware, it's just that we pay a lot of
other peoples business as well. I think that it really is a helpful tool, but it could be much cheaper for instance compared to what other
AI providers like Midjourney and others provide for the same amount of money.
