Very nice, theres a image called 'Never Say GoodBye' where theres a flower and everything else is blurred and desaturated, you should try that, it will be very cool to see the result!

This is a very nice piece. I really like the contrasts, as ratbag and others have said, the contrast of yellow to green, the contrast of sharp to unfocused, and the more intellectual contrast of calm to uneasy.

The buttercup itself might benefit from a bit of unsharp mask to really crisp up those edges, especially all of the little details on the leaves and stalks surrounding it. Overall, a very dramatic piece. Nice work.

The contrast of the very cheery flower with the brooding sky overhead is excellent. The colors also work well, with the brightest being on the flower. It also seems so be reaching towards the sky. Awesome.
