*sings* "Cupid, draw back your bow, and let your arrow go straight to my lover's heart for me..."(In memory of my dear little Cameron, who modeled for this when he was 6 months old.) bought an old (from '91?) sketch from me, and so I colored it...I love my new Prisma markers!
Also used a white gel pen for highlighting and white colored pencil for burnishing. I apologize in advance to anyone who suffers an acute diabetic attack due to saccharine overdose because of this image. It was not intentional...well, sorta.

It's not saccharine at all hon. It's lovely. As anyone that has ever loved a carpet shark will attest, they are heart rendingly loveable.

Hey Swannie. :3 I'm just going through my favorites list again here on DA, and I see this one... and I remember this is how I first fell in love with your artwork. I think I was going through the loss of one of my ferrets at the time, and seeing this made me cry. With sadness, and with happiness. I just loved it so much... and it's still very important to me.

Gorgeous pic! I love the colors, and the face, and the wings are so beautiful. I'm no artist though, and stick to photography of my furballs(which you probably know is hard as hell, because they're always moving). Nice job!

I like how you characterized love as a ferret- after all they are very playful and affectionate creatures, so it makes perfect sense! The soft colors really add to the cuteness too, and excellent work on the ferret's paws! They're alot better than how I draw my paws. *^^* Anyways, great work overall.
