Still looking for that perfect Cedar Waxwing shot, this isn't it, but I like it well enough. Found at Thaler Trails.

Enjoy!

Lovely! We had Cedar and Bohemian Waxwings at our cherry trees last year - hee. It's a darn shame I missed taking the photos when they were pigging out on our fruit - I would have loved to have had some with them in the blossoms too. But alas, my camera had been out of commission. So here's hoping this year I "catch them in the act". Lovely composition on your photo - I think you really should give yourself more credit, it's quite nicely shot!! Better than any I've done to be sure!

Hi there! I'm from Puebla, Mexico. Do you knew the cedar waxing (or chinito or ampelis as whe called them) migrate to Mexico, and far South each winter? Well they do, but here in my city almoust anybody knows about them. So I'm doing a education poster of this birds. I allredy talked with the directors of two important parks of the city, and the poster will be there with a volonteer giving explanations.

The birds come to my garden last week, but I could not take a photo as good as yours and I do not find on the web one large enought. So, the question is.... Would you let me use your photo? I will give all the credit it deserves, and it will don't be for a comercial use.

I have some video of this birds if you like them.

Gracias

I know what you mean about looking for the perfect waxwing shot. This one is a lot better than anything I've been able to get, so far (still hoping), and it's a very nice shot.

Beautiful shot! The gray sky accents its coloration very well. I am getting a digital camera in a couple weeks so hopefully my pictures won't suck as much.
