Wow... that's all that came to my mind when I saw this piece in my inbox. This is truly one of the most striking and beautiful photographs I've seen in a very long time. I want to talk first about the conceptual findings I see in this. When I looked at this photograph I was instantly told a story about how people can feel so isolated and helpless in a world that is rushing by them and inconceivable speeds. Every day our world becomes faster and faster and less personal and it is easy for us to feel disconnected and insignificant, lost among the forest if you will. However, while this photograph conveys that message to me, it doesn't do it in a sour or sad way. Rather, I see this as a stand against those things. The expression on the model seems to signify that she is fully aware of what's happening around her but that she is strong and can still be in control of her life and accomplish her goals and dreams. On a technical aspect I won't say much because in my opinion you nailed it. You have a great tonal range, no highlights blown out and great detail in you darkest shadows. The dress is a brilliant dark tone but still holds all of it's information. The composition is extremely well thought out and the angle is both risky and original. I find this to be an extremely well executed and inspirational piece of art. It is everything I love about photography. Keep up the amazing work.
