Sweeney Todd: Into the Sweeney-Verse
None of them would get along, and there would be so much fighting and yelling. Lucy is the "canon" that must happen 😔 all Sweeneys that have her would be in denial and try to prevent it or steal the other ones' Lucy. It would be a mess, okay? I'm just saying.
In all seriousness, I wanted to reprise my first Sweeney lineup. That one only had four, and I think some other sweeneys deserved some love and appreciation this time. These are the sweeneys I have seen or enjoy the looks/voices of. I didn't get to every Sweeney ever, so don't come after me.
I had to add my dear friend @emceemc1919 to the lineup because he was the first Sweeney Todd I ever got to see in person, and I will never ever forget it. It was such a wonderful experience getting to see him perform and meet him by the stage door. Thank you, my friend!
And now our newest contender to the Sweeney Todd lineup: joshgroban himself. Since the day he was announced to play Sweeney, I had no doubt in my mind that he would be excellent in it. And I was right. His voice is so stunning for this role. It's a shame I'll never get to see him perform, but at least we have the album coming out slowly. Thank you, Mr. Groban, for bringing Sweeney to life on Broadway again!
