Poor Joey, all alone in no-man's-land, facing gunfire, tanks, trenches and barbed wire, trying so hard to stay alive, to run away and go home with his Albert.So Yeah, I drew Joey from War Horse, one of the best films of the year without a doubt. Jesus, I cried like a baby. Anyways, yes I know I have a lot of work to do on my digital skills, I just wanted to get this out of my system.

I've read War Horse when I was around ten years old, I have an illustrated edition...I began to love History with this book^^' I remember, I searched some informations about horses in the World Wars, but about Napoleon's horses too, about the famous Caligula's horse...
I really want to see the film, since I've loved so much the book. Is the film good?

I read the book too, so I had that information in mind when I watched the movie, and yes, the film is a masterpiece. Like, it's not one of those sappy animal stories with an overdone story line, this is actually a GOOD movie, even my super critical friends agreed with me. The war scenes aren't too gory, but just enough to make you really get a sense of the horrors of it. Plus, please, bring tissues. I almost never cry during movies. This one, however, had me non-stop sobbing. It's an absolutely beautiful film, and check out some trailers for the play if you get the chance!
