Description Long awaited Spinel aesthetic finally makes the scene. I probably won't be making a separate aesthetic for her pre-regeneration, as I had difficulties the first few times around in trying to make one for her.

You know, as much as I like Pink Diamond (but have mixed feelings about her .-.), I can really connect with Spinel's character, having recently undergone abandonment myself. The movie opened my eyes to that. Despite that, this was pretty fun to make!

Spinel belongs to Rebecca Sugar and the Crewniverse!

I can feel the CHAOS CHAOS, intensifying.

As always, a very cool aesthetics.
I think, and most likely it is, that starting with the film, they show us Pink in the opposite direction. That she used to be such a scum, but this also has an explanation and their name is White, Yellow and Blue. They mistreated Pink, believing that they want the best for her, but at the same time they loved her, but they did not express their love that way.

Thanks!
And agreed! I think a large portion of the SU fandom forgets some of the events that occurred within "Diamond Days", and that Pink was mistreated and abused by the other Diamonds; they didn't treat her as an equal. They saw her as a child and as someone who brought them entertainment (kind of like how Spinel was made to entertain Pink). I've seen people crucifying her right and left while saying that the other 3 diamonds are "redeemed", as well as calling Pink The Villain of Steven Universe, but it's really not true.
Yeah, she did some really unforgivable and inexcusable things. I distinctively remember being disappointed in her when she abandoned Spinel in the garden. But I think the best way to describe her is "not the greatest person"; she had good intentions (mostly concerning Earth's colonization and it's inhabitants and life), but went about this in a bad, and very flawed, way. She's more or less "morally gray", just like everyone else within SU.
We also got to see her development backwards, starting when she was Rose Quartz; a mature, loving person who understood what empathy and that humans were much more complex than she initially thought thanks to Greg Universe, to when she smashed a window in Yellow's Moon Base and threw tantrums.

All four diamonds were villains, but all four were corrected and became good gems. With Pink it was easier, with White it was harder.
I was also angry with her because of the Pearls and Spinel.
But it is clear that she regrets it thanks to Steven.
I really want their meeting, their conversation.
With the advent of Greg, she really changed. And Steven is her fix.

Whoa, I never really thought about it that way; that all four were initially villains (Though I think quite a few people thought along those lines. Not just me.).
You have a point that with Pink it was easier/the easiest, and White being the most difficult to redeem.

I suppose I could see how you (and others) could be upset with Pink over her Pearls as well. With Crystal Gem Pearl she really should have said something rather than lead her on and eventually give her attachment and abandonment issues. I distinctly remember someone noticing this flaw she had as Rose long before the reveal and posting a video about it on Youtube and I wholeheartedly agree with that video.
With Pink Pearl it's a little different. People like to compare Pink to a physical abuser after the episode "Volleyball". But I don't see it, nor do I think it's correct. With the way Pink Pearl worded it, it sounds not only like an accident, but a powerful emotional outburst rather than physical abuse; that Pink threw a tantrum (didn't know her own power) used her sonic scream on White Diamond, and Pink Pearl - who was standing too close to her at that time - got hit with this sonic scream wave. It's like the equivalent of that one scene in Disney's Frozen (I know most people don't like this movie, but it's a pretty good comparison) where Elsa has an emotional outburst and accidentally hits Anna with an ice blast in the chest, which slowly begins to freeze her heart.
After that event, Pink Diamond was horrified and traumatized about what she had done to her best friend, even if it was on accident, and started hiding her destructive powers.

I would also love it if Pink/Rose got to meet Steven. There's so much fan art of a situation like that and I just...love it all so muchΒ Β
Greg Universe is also an underrated character. I love him so much. He's done a lot for Rose Quartz, Steven; for the show. He's a great character and it's a shame he doesn't get as much love as the other characters do. He's also a really cool dad XD

I also agree.
Pink was just a capricious child, on whom three other diamonds pressed and she projected the abus of her "sisters" on others.
I always liked Frozen. I consider that one of the best Disney films. And yes it really similar with some moments in SU.
Greg is a great character and a great father. He will always come to the rescue of gems and Steven. I would even say he is the best male character in the series after his son.
