For over the past year and a half since Courageous-of-Light started his fanfic series based on MLP: FIM, there have been quite a few villains that Twilight Sparkle, Courageous Heart, and all their friends have faced on different occasions. Each one proved quite a challenge for the little ponies:

Tirek, The Supreme Master of Darkness ("MLP: The Light of Equestria". 2012-2013): Escaping Tartarus after a 4,000 year old imprisonment, the Dark Lord easily captured most of Equestria and it's denizens. However, even with all the power of Darkness at his command, he proved no match for the combined might of the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony and the Champion of the Light. (Resembles Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars).

1. Queen Chrysalis, Ruler of the Changelings ("A Change of Heart" Part 1 and 2. 2013) After failing in the past to take Equestra, the Changeling Queen tries once more to use deception to take Canterlot...disguising herself as Princess Celestia. But just when she almost had it all, she was defeated and restored to the side of good thanks to the Friendship of the Mane Six and Courageous...as well as the Elements of Harmony. (Resembles Ursula from The Little Mermaid).

2. Grogar, the Emperor of Tambelon ("The Miracle of Friendship" Part 1-4. 2013): Formerly a pony named Firmhoof, this wicked demon ram took over the paradise island of Tambelon long ago...in the name of his master, the Dark Lord Tirek. Many Generations later, Grogar crashed the wedding of Twilight and Courageous...only to be defeated later by the power of the Light and Elements combined. The island was later returned to the paradise it once was. (Resembles Shao Khan from Mortal Kombat).

3. Don Oro Dinero ("The Mare in the Mask". 2014): Rich and corrupt, Oro Dinero always has plans to steal the wealth of the kingdoms he may visit or move in to. Use clever tactics and the laws of the land to hide behind, this greedy unicorn knows nothing will get in his way...except for his family's sworn enemy: The Masked Mare. (Resembles Don Rafael Montero from The Mask of Zorro).

4. Grenadier Apple, Witch of the Black fog Forest ("MLP: The Future is Magic" Volume One. 2013-2014): An outcast of the Apple Family, the "Black Apple" is a cruel and wicked witch who is obsessed with being all powerful and beautiful. She once attempted to capture Tambelon Castle and succeeded the second time. But even with her victory so close, she underestimated her enemies at the very last second...and was defeated by Courageous Heart. She lost her eternal youth and beauty, and was imprisoned forever. (Resembles the Evil Queen of Snow White).

5. Scorpan ("History of the Hero" Part 1-6. 2013): Formerly a pegasus named Stoutheart, Courageous Heart's father, he was captured by Tirek long ago and transformed into a demon gargoyle to serve the Dark Lord. Over the years he gathered new servants for Tirek's cause, and later encountered his son. Stoutheart was later restored by his son and the power of the Light that was bestowed upon Courageous when he refused to abandon his father. (Resembles Darth Vader from Star Wars).

6. Don Porsha ("Pride of the Prancing Ponies". 2013): The Dark Dancer of the Kingdom of Shamrock, Porsha speaks with his hooves more than his mouth when fighting. His sworn enemy is Tap Step, a dancer much like himself and Courageous's foster father. Using the dark magic within his mask, Don Porsha almost had Equestria in his hooves, until he was defeated by his rival and his superior dancing skills. (Resembles the Dark Lord Don Dorcha from the musicalLord of the Dance).
