♥ Event: YWA Seasonal Breeding Show - Winter 2022-2023
♥ Featuring: YWA Saphir , HOV Fifty Shades of Indecision (Faline), HOV Schwert des Jinx (Zapper) and YWA Jinx

♥ Prompt 2. Pouring Rain - Entry 1

The black clouds gathered quickly on the horizon, but Zapper didn't have time to notice because he was too busy being pestered by Faline. She couldn't stop babbling in excitement for a single moment. She wanted them to be friends as the other foals didn't give a damn about her, while Zapper wondered how to do the same to avoid her.
It didn't work. Even as the two of them followed their mothers further away from the paddock where the pasture was taller and greener and where it was quieter, Faline would not stop. She trotted and kicked and laughed and tried to call him for a race while Zapper and all his introversion stayed very close to his mother, Jinx, despite her gentle efforts to encourage him to play with the chimera filly. He was too scared to do so, especially after the first thunder.

Faline jumped up from the ground with fright and looked at the horizon wide-eyed, while Zapper hid under Jinx's legs for protection. He didn't even want to see where the rumble came from. Faline, on the other hand, thought it was GREAT. Her mother Riri mentioned that rain was coming and that they would return to the shelter just in case, but that the rainwater was harmless, even fun if you knew how to play with it. That was enough to pique the filly's interest and the colt’s despair.

So, Faline busied herself by jumping up and down, laughing and trying to catch the raindrops with her tongue, while Zapper watched her gloomily. She seemed to be having a great time. The possibility of joining her even crossed his mind for a moment or two, but in the end he was simply content to stay close to his mother.
