The day Aleksee left the herd to follow his newest hero, Leone, was somewhat dramatic. Aleksee had always been attached to Diona since his mother left and left him in the care of Al-Hattal, and when it's said to be attached... Well, he was always a misunderstood romantic. He was in love with Diona, and she always found Aleksee's advances adorable, he was sweet, but very persistent. Determined like a lion.
When he decided to leave on his own to follow his new leader, he made sure to say goodbye to Diona properly.
''It's never goodbye, my lady. I promise that we'll see each other again! And then I'll be very much taller!'' he said, and she rolled her eyes with a smile. "Take care, little one. I'll wait to see you again." Diona said, and messed up the colt's bangs one last time. He trotted away, and so was his farewell.
''Aren't you going to miss him?'' Al-Hattal asked Diona as Aleksee walked away with Leone's herd. ''Him and all that energy!'' She laughed. ''But as he said, it's never goodbye. We'll see each other soon.''
