Raphael's profile.

So, this drawing is actually a year old colored sketch of Raphael, from the TMNT series (the first series is back in 1987, then there is the 2003 series, and the latest series is the 2012 series), but I might re-draw his reference (but not quite yet).

Since I wanted to start my own A/U (alternate universe) story about TMNT (but not like what you'd expect a A/U to be), I made a drawing of Raphael in my style, because I am making my own TMNT stuff.

My TMNT A/U is a mix of the 2003 series (the series I pratically grew up to), the 2012 series, and of my own imagination. It means that you might recognize some elements/features from either the 2003 series, or from the 2012 series.

-Raphie-boy (mainly Mona Lisa and sometimes Michelangelo, to mock him).

-Lover boy (by Mona Lisa, once they start dating).

-His younger siblings calls him ''Oniisan'', sometimes, which means ''Big brother'', in Japanese.

-September 29 (mutation day).
-14 years old (in my Fanfiction).

Likes:
-Training, energic drinks, kicking butts (and shells), spend a bit of time with his siblings, etc.

Dislikes:
-When Master Splinter and Leonardo gives him a moral lesson, his family being threatened, etc.

-Leonardo.

-Raphael also do team up with his younger siblings, Donatello, Michelangelo and Luna, sometimes. After that Venus, Mona, Evangeline and Ilya all join the Hamato Clan, he also started to team up with them.

Fear(s):
-Raphael's biggest fear is to lose his family for not being strong enough. That is why he absolutely hates being beaten up in a spare or a real fight, because it ''proves'' him that he isn't strong enough...when he is in fact the strongest physically.

Phobia(s):
-Raphael doesn't have a known phobia.

Weapon(s) of choice:
-Twin Sais. ------> He uses a pair of twin Sais, as his main weapon of choice.
-Kunais.
-Shurikens.
-Smoke bombs.

Personality:
-Loyal, brave, devoted, mature, athletic, loving, responsible at times, passionate, but also protective, sarcastic, short-tempered, reckless, fierce, impulsive and rebellious.

-Raphael is passionate about fighting...so passionate, in fact, that he absolutely hate losing a spare or a battle ! Because of that side of him, he can be quite difficult to deal with, as losing a fight will make him feel weak and make him think that he won't be able to protect his family.

-Raphael is short-tempered, and it's not a joke ! Whenever he is being teased by his siblings, or insulted by an enemy, he can turn into a rabbid beast. However, Raphael's anger is very different from Leonardo's anger. Where Leonardo's anger is cryonic, Raphael's anger is pyronic: very hot, loud and short-storing , and it comes out as a furious fire storm. Just like Leonardo, his anger can have a precise target, including himself, which can be as destructive as Leonardo's icy fury. Sensei Splinter is however trying to teach Raphael how to control his temper...but he clearly have a lot of work to do.

-Despite this, Raphael is a big softie, even if it kills him to show it, hence why he reacts so energically whenever someone makes him notice it or teases him for being such a sweet guy.

Role in the Team:
-Raphael is the Brute Strength of the team, because of being the strongest of the bunch, physically. As a result, Raphael will also daily train and work out his muscles, to always be able to protect his family and friends. His strength makes him to be the less careful of them all, though, which obviously can cause him troubles.

-Red.
-Positive meaning: Love, passion, warmth, sexuality, ardor, triumph.
-Negative meaning: Anger, prohibition, danger.

-Red is surely the most fascinating and ambiguous color. It plays on paradoxes, animates passionate feelings in complete contradiction: love / anger, sensuality / sexuality, courage / danger, ardor / interdiction...This color stirs the feelings without any doubt. It imposes itself as a warm, energetic, penetrating color and in a certain reassuring and enveloping way.

Other:
-Raphael wears red gloves, which are open at the endings. He also wears pale brown elbow and knee pads, with the parts that circles the arms and legs being red, just like his bandana.
-The guard of Raphael's Sais are mahogany.

RELATIONSHIPS:

FAMILY:
-Sensei Splinter: Rapael is very respectful to him, but since he is kind of rebellious at times, Raphael won't always agree with his decision. Just like Leonardo, he is very attached to him and hopes that the day that Splinter will leave them all never comes. On the other hand, Sensei Splinter knows Raphael quite well and won't hesitate to put him back to his place when needed. Despite this, he still loves Raphael for who he is (just like the others).

-Leonardo (aka Leo): Their relation is balancing between being intensively tense, awkward, and respectful. They do have moments where they argue awfully, but they always end being close brothers again. Raphael is Leonardo's second in command, and even if they argue a lot, they do care for each other and will support each other when needed

-Donatello (aka Don or Donnie): Their relation is a mix of teasing and irritating each other with what makes them who they are (Donatello's intellect, Raphael's bad temper), and of a normal sibling bond. They do respect each other, but since they both have temper, their relation is often a cat and dog kind of one. Despite this, Raphael do care for Donatello and all of his family and friends.

-Michelangelo (aka Mikey): Their relationship is incredibly tumultuous, for Michelanglo really loving to tick him off and to prank him. However, they do care for each other and will often be seen cheering each other up, training together...and sparing, even if it can end quite awkwardly into a argue. In short, their relation is normal sibling bond and an awkward one at the same time, even though they really care for each other.

-Luna: Their relation is very awkward (or clumsy), and their relation is also a big brother/little sister bound. Raph if the most protective of all the brothers, and will kick the responisble that harm her's butt, but he is awkward when it comes to talk and/or lecture Luna, knowing that he can be very harsh, sometimes. They mostly argue if Raph don't want to let her talk or if Luna has enough again (like with Leo). They...mostly chat (and sometimes train) together rather than anything else, and they do care about each other, but they are just too différents, Raph being short-tempered, while Luna is gentle and sweet, to really spend time together.

-Venus de Milo: The bond between Raphael and Venus started out as very intense and sour, as Raphael was only seeing her as a threat and would constantly try to tick her off, only to get his butt kicked pretty easily. Eventually, their bond turned smoother, and, despite the fact that the two would still be arguing often times, they became friends.

-Mona Lisa: Mona got along very well with Raphael and, despite trying to hit him in the face (or elsewhere for that matter) when they first met, she was feeling safe with him. Raphael is also the one that teaches her how to use twin sais, which they both secretely enjoy. Being such a bubble of energy and friendship seriously weirded out Raphael, but he somewhat grew up to her many hugs and cheek rubs. Mona became a great source of support for Raphael, being his number one fan and often trying to flirt with him, to his embarrassement. As their bond grew, the two of them clearly developped romantic feelings for each other, often teasing each other and arguing with each other as well. However, both are somehow denying their love for each other at first, but they eventually give in...

-Ilya: Raphael and Ilya are getting along just fine, also barely seen arguing with each other. However, they are times where Ilya have enough to be threated as a weakling and will stand her ground in front of him...even daring to launch a slap or a punch on Raphael's face. But in general, they are getting along well.

-Evangeline (aka Eva): Evangeline and Raphael...are getting along rather well, despite often getting into fights and challenges. But either than constantly challenging each other or arguing with each other, the two are getting along quite well.

-Ryan: Raphael and Ryan's relationship started out very bad as well, Raphael and Ryan being extremely tempered and fighting like beasts against each other, the night he attacked Raphael and his family. They argue a lot, compared to the others, especially because of the lack of trust between them but, despite this, their relationship is getting better, even if they remain fighting and arguing a lot.

-April O'Neil: April and Raphael are getting along rather well, despite getting into argues often times. They do respect each other a lot, despite this, and Raphael will often times help her with her training as well when needed. Raphael is also grateful of her for not betraying them and keeping their existence a secret, too.

-Casey Jones: Casey and Raphael, being the same in personality, didn't get along right away in the first place and nearly fought. But they eventually become best friends and are getting along very well, often times getting into argues still, though.
