On the one hand, she was confused and upset… and on the other… well, there actually was no other hand- which bothered her almost as much, believing that somehow her lack of duplicity made her shallow.

Her unhappiness was like a worm- hidden underground... until one of those dark, dreary days after it rains. Then it couldn't help it, and it would strand itself in plain view- wet and sad, a shivering sliver on a concrete slab that people would see but step over, disgusted and feeling guilty.

I wanted something that was... complete, but not completely. (Shut up, it makes sense in my head XD) Sometimes you fill in the blanks- but sometimes it's just the pointillism that you can portray.

This shot bothers me- when I saw it, I instantly said "oh, I can't use that one. I do that pose ALL the time". But then I went through my gallery... and couldn't find anything like it. So I think it's familiar for a completely other reason.
