Description
In the human au, Rose has been seeing Velvet and Veneer out of spite and wants to make them pay back for what they did to her because of a painful incident they caused when Rose was thirteen. Velvet and Veneer were foreign exchange students in the Philippines who were bullied by a group of local students for being talentless and a young Rose tried to befriend them but Velvet refused any help or friendship from her. Velvet grew to be jealous of the attention that Rose got for her talents, but it didn't affect Rose until that fateful day.

Sometime after that, Rose was selected to be on a team with Velvet and Veneer for a school event, and she tried to convince them to dance with the group, but they didn’t want to join them. During the performance, the two recklessly attempted to cheat by kicking a loose screw out which caused the stage to collapse and caused the fire that destroyed the school. When the fire burned the school, Rose stood in horror at how quickly the fire spread across the place. She rushed to rescue her teammates until some chemicals caused Rose's hair to be permanently bleached to a platinum blonde.

Amongst the fire, Rose saw an injured student, who desperately reached out to her for help. In a panic, she took him out, and they narrowly escaped the fire along with the rest of the school. Rose and several others had minor injuries while the teachers, some students, and participants were heavily scarred or injured, but Velvet and Veneer ran off. The incident gave Rose a huge trauma and a fiery grudge towards the two, causing a chain of events that made her end up living with her grandmother in California. When they finally meet again, Rose is prepared to even the score between her and the two.
