You're not quite sure how it happened but somehow Queenie had convinced everyone to go out for a drink at a bar. It wasn't exactly going to go very well; Jacob is a No-Maj and has no idea what's happening around magic, and you, Tina and Newt were much more reserved than Queenie. Also, none of you were really huge drinkers anyway, and Queenie said that everyone should have a night to "Let loose some stress!", with a flirty wink.

And so here you were, sitting around a circular table watching the rest of the wizarding public go by, ordering drinks, sharing laughs, feeling more socially awkward than you have in months.

Queenie and Jacob had already had drinks of firewhisky and butterbeer, both of them shyly yet shamelessly flirting back and forth, laughing louder with the amount of drinks they had. Newt and Tina were in a deep discussion about magical creatures and his new book (which slowly but surely was becoming a huge success), so that had left you to idly watch the bar around you.

"Tina, honey, are you gonna have another drink?" Queenie asked, pushing a glass of firewhisky to her across the table. Tina politely raised her hand and shook her head.

"No, besides, if Newt and (Name) start drinking someone has to be sober enough to carry everyone home." She said with a small grin. Queenie and Jacob laughed, whilst you and Newt chuckled quietly. Queenie shook her head disapprovingly at you both.

"Oh, come on, guys! You two can loosen up just a little!" She pleaded with a sweet smile. "Maybe you two should have some gigglewater!"

You blushed, beginning to shake your head before Queenie stood up and walked over to the server to get more drinks. Newt shrugged, "Maybe one or two drinks won't hurt us."

Queenie soon came back over with several shots of gigglewater in tow. You and Newt both took one with a small "Thanks." and proceeded to down the clear substance.

It took a moment, but suddenly you felt elated, and a little hyper. It rushed through you so quickly that a small spurt of giggles left your lips. Blushing, you glanced at Newt, who also let out a stream of giggles at your outburst (it was incredibly cute, you couldn't deny that).

Feeling a moment of daring, and swallowing your pride, you picked up another shot of gigglewater, hoping Newt would do the same. "Think I'll, y'know, have another one." You said with a lopsided smile before downing another shot, and once again you felt the excitement of the gigglewater and you laughed again, your laugh much clearer and louder than before. Newt grinned at you.

"Think I'll have another as well."

Only about 30 minutes had passed, but you and Newt had both started daring each other to have more and more gigglewater that both of you became completely drunk. Queenie and Jacob were a little drunk as well, yes, and Tina had only two drinks, but they were not as spaced out as you and Newt. You were swaying lightly in your seat, still giggling quietly to yourself, a dazed look on your face as you blatantly stared at Newt with a sheepish smile and rosy cheeks. Newt had draped an arm lazily around your shoulder, grinning at you every so often.

Tina, Queenie and Jacob had risen from their seats, watching both of you gaze at each other sweetly.

"Guess they really took the loosening up to heart, huh?" Jacob said, smiling. Tina and Queenie laughed, paying for the drinks and helping you and Newt out of your chairs, walking out of the bar. You and Newt were still staring at each other, arms wrapped around each other (Newt's arm had gone to your waist, clearly showing he's feeling very bold due to the effects of alcohol).

"Now to drag those two home." Tina said with a smile, as the group apparated back to the Goldstein apartment.

When you had gotten back, Jacob and Queenie had said they were going to walk back to Jacob's apartment (which Tina smirked at), and Tina then tasked herself with trying to get Newt and you to bed without any problems.

You and Newt had changed into your sleepwear and were staying the guest room of the apartment. Tina had left and the lights had been switched off when the both of you began giggling again.

"I can't believe I wouldn't drink any gigglewater before, this is so fun!" You said, burying your face in your blanket. Newt responded with a chuckle before he went silent. You were about to ask him if he was okay before you heard his bed creak, footsteps on the floor and then the covers of your bed were pulled off of you as Newt climbed over you and laid on his side next to you, grabbing you around your middle and pulling you close to him. He threw the covers back over the both of you and he hummed.

You squeaked, "Newt! What are you doing, the girls are gonna catch us!" You whined, though you were relaxing into his warmth.

"Hm...but it's so warm like this, isn't it?" He muttered into your ear, grinning, and you could tell he was more drunk than you were. You nodded, sighed, and the shared warmth of Newt had let you fall into a soothing sleep.

The door creaked open quietly, and Tina peeked her head into the room. She smiled.

"Those two are totally dating after this."
