Description
This is my final picture for the July theme.I realized when I posted the last one, I had not erased my finger prints... I also added a little texture to the back of her hat.
The reference photo is it[link] I think I've captured a pretty good likeness of her face. Thanks to for allowing us to draw her beautiful photo.
I used 2h, 4h, hb, 2b, and 4b graphite pencils and a kneaded eraser.

This is very well done, the only thing I could say is that it could be a little darker, just to bring out more contrast.

Thanks, I am slowly learning to add more dark areas. It's kind of scary to use the darker B's. But I'm getting there.

This looks a little bit different than the difference, but I like the result here, especially the hat.

A nice portrait we have here.
Maybe a bit to bright. There is some contrast missing. Only the hair is a bit darker here. Maybe some more shading on the nose, right cheek would help.
The eyes are pretty decent, with shading aswell. You should try to assign this to the whole face.
Whats left to say...composition is still very matching and absolutely hitting the title. Keep it up!

So, to begin the overall feel of this drawing is lovely, quiet and soft. The shading has much to do with this, as does the tonal range. The facial features are very natural and well proportioned. There's a hint of atmosphere at the left hand side of the image which is ambiguous and soft. I also really like the area above the eyes where the shaded lines curve along with the eyelid, it's very beautiful. However, what I feel is missing is a good solid line. There are few lines, in the eyelashes, but none elsewhere. Also, the value could be ramped up a bit more. The darkest part of the drawing is the eyes. This needs to be distributed a bit more to define the areas of shadow and light, like under the chin where the hair is in shadow. Although I said that you should bump up the contrast, I don't think you should use cross hatching. Instead, build up more lines over what you have already to continue the softness that you've got going on already. All in all, you've got a very strong drawing that doesn't need much more tweaking

well, not all images need the same thing, and in this case, i don't think this drawing needs a lot of heavy shading, also this drawing has more balance to it than the other.
