A tiny cozy town located in Shadow valley has traditions and habits which would be funny at first sight and annoying at all the next sights for strangers and travelers if at least one of them ever got there. It seems like every brick and log of this ancient place is soaked with garlic smell. Walking through its narrow cobbled streets don’t be surprised by seeing a lot of “Garlic-shop” signboards. Going to drink a cup of coffee? In any café you’ll find garlic cakes and garlic cream in a menu (by the way all of them add some garlic in coffee too). Garlic bread is the most popular here. Garlic tea, garlic juice, garlic soda, garlic whisky, garlic whatever… It might seem to be crazy but actually it was the only way to stay alive for the townsfolk and traditions stayed the same even when the real enemy was defeated. Long ago it was a big booming city. One day some rich men bought a hill near it and a gorgeous castle was built on its top. The owners were a family of great antiquity, they look like aristocrats and everyone was pleased to meet them and to get an invitation to their castle. But then citizens started to miss. Of course, you’ve already guessed, it was a vampire kindred settled near the city and no need to tell about all the bad things happened after. The city was depopulated and got much smaller and the cure that helped it not to disappear completely was… garlic. Nowadays it is a miracle to meet a real vampire here and all the disasters of the past mostly became tales and legends. Most of that kindred stayed alive but all of them have lost their powers and cannot turn from bats to humans anymore. A few people even keep them as pets in aviaries and feed them with chicken blood. This little one is Caesarius Noctis, the youngest member of the kindred which was a charming gentleman with pleasant voice who had a way with anyone he was interested in. It’s better not to allow him biting you but the worst thing that may happen to you after it – you’ll prefer rare steaks to medium.
