Inspiration for interior of an Aaaa starship....
When ~100 km spheroidal asteroid comes barreling through our solar system in ~2022, looks like another hyperbolic exo-comet. Until it slows, parks at L4 and, six months later, begins replying to the math sequences sent its way.
Though our star is off the usual routes, Aaaa was attacked by multiple deep-space 'Dark Matter' mega-beasties, needed an urgent truck-stop. Think Cordwainer Smith's 'Game of Rat & Dragon'. Such are attracted by moving metal, so ships gotta be totally organic, moved by telekinesis.Β Think ET, but Strictly sub-light.Β To fly safe, Einstein rules.Β Usual stops' cultures leave a kilotonne assortment of metal ingots & modules in L4 halo orbit for self-service 'borrows'. As the directory said we were 'Neolithic', the math and flock of converging cube-sats came as a bit of a shock...
Anyhow, Aaaa had helped itself to our asteroid belt and Jovian Trojans, owed us for them.
Strict rules on what info may be traded to 'lower cultures', so no sub-quark physics, AI, ambient superconductivity, mini-fusion, anti-grav etc etc. Directory is redacted regarding our neighbours, who share a 'keep off my lawn' attitude for noisome kids.Β
After much discussion, most credit was traded for ferry-fee of expedition / settlers to mega-moon of tau-Ceti 'f'. Seems it had been partly terraformed, but the project was abandoned about 100 kyears ago, without takers. Would suit humans. And we're compatible with Aaaa's hibernacula. There'd be 50 + 250 going. Lead team 'break ground' while rest stay asleep for another year. Given journey of ~25 years and estimated ~2% loss rate, the lead group were soon tagged the '49-ers'.
Down-sides were no metal could be taken, although ores etc were permissible. The '49-ers' would have to boot-strap tech. And entering hibernation was rather like being 'ingested'...Β

i don't have "that" PS plugin (or PS at all, so besides its price i don't even know if i can use it in gimp... even with PSPI), and i searched for free texture creators - many are old, good ones are rare, and usually a nightmare to handle. without your tiles, my aliens'd walk in shame XD. i'll drop a link if i manage a render worth uploading

I might be wrong adn they could be different...but I doubt it. Just a heads up however. Great textures tho. I would like to use them in a work project on SL too, a skin for an avatar, but not to be sold as they are.

These were made using a photoshop filter program and its possible someone else used the same filter. Hard to tell if they've just taken mine and tweaked them or not. Appreciate the heads up tho - thanks!
