Description A Huntsman spider for Poser. Not available yet, but something I've been working on for Halloween. I figured, I could go zombie, or witch, or vampire, yata, yata, same old same old. And spiders have been done to death too. But after watching Arachnophobia again I decided to do that species of spider. They have a certain air about them that lends them well to the horror genre.

The Huntsman spider of coarse in real life is non-aggressive and harmless to humans. But very fast, and they even leap. Known to cause car accidents as well, as they often enter vehicles in search for food, only to emerge and scare the crap out of the driver while said vehicle is in motion.

Thanks for looking,
Cheers

Yeah, I think I would scream like a little girl if I saw this coming out of my drain. Thanks.

Lol, no problem, heh. I watched a video with a guy handling them, and talking to one like it was his pet dog

The funny thing is, I could probably hold and handle a tarantula. But, the others...not so much. I had a few bad dreams where I was surrounded by webs with spiders in them and since then, I have no tolerance for them.

I know what you mean. I have handled a tarantula, belongs to a friend of mine. I can one up you with the nightmare though. That same friend, aeons ago when we ere kids, him, his brother, one of his other friends, we went camping. We were teenagers. His parents were there, and we went looking for a place to drink--stupid I know. I don't even drink. Didn't then either. It was getting dark. We crawled in under a huge cedar hedge. Turned on flash lights, and found many many many webs with orb weavers all around us. Wow, panic city!!

Oh no. No way man. Not me. We had a plumber friend of ours that had to fix our next door neighbors seweage pipe. It was cracked and leaking into MY basement. Anyway, he had to go into her crawlspace which was only about two feet hight. It was covered in webs and white spiders the size of quarters. You couldn't pay me any amount of money to crawl under there.

Oh yeah I've seen lots of footage of large huntsmen on/in cars... it's like they do it on purpose. And they have that unnerving ability to run sideways... it looks like some of that unique leg hinging is showing in this pic, too... excellent stuff

Heh yeah they are creepy bastards. I've got some good flattened poses that really show off the hinging too.

Oh, man. That looks really good. I have arachnophobia myself, so I know what I'm saying .
Do you use 3dsmax?

Heh, thanks! Only started to learn MAX a bit. This was modeled in Wings3d, and Blender though.
