"Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid" is a movie I have mixed opinions of, more so bad than good. Interestingly, this movie had a cast who were balanced of likable and unlikable, and it had a rootable antagonist, Jack Bryon who, while his methods and measures he was willingly to take to achieve his goal was questionable, wanted to help science and humanity with the orchids. I found the cast unrootable because after one of them was killed by an anaconda, they all wanted to end the expedition and return home, instead of ensuring that their friend's death wasn't in vain and making sure they didn't stupidly come all the way for nothing. A flower that can help others in need live longer is definitly something I'd be willingly to risk my life to get, like any noble person should.

Only Jack wanted to continue the expedition, while the others only cared about saving their own skins. But there were still members of the cast who were likable and enjoyable, and Tran was one of the best out of them, and if he survived, that would've been enough to redeem this awful movie for me.

Tran was the cool handsome muscular asian dude, who was Bill's partner and acted as a wise guide to the expedition team throughout the movie. He was killed when he went to look for Cole in a cave and fell into the water, getting devoured by one. And out of all the people in the movie, he got the most brutal death, evident by all the blood shown in the water.

Killing him off is one of the main reasons I hate the movie and don't remember it well, because the other survivors sucked (Except Bill of course), the characters who were killed in the movie were mostly better than who the survivors were (Like Gale for instance, was a real annoying bitch who acted as if she mattered more than anyone else and would rather have a bath than helping science and humanity), and it would have been better if Tran was one of them. Cole was a cowardly pussy and a bad comic relief, I think he should have been killed in that cave instead of the brave wise guy.

Plus, if Tran survived, I could've imagined him having more badass moments that would've made him the best character in the whole movie and all of the Anaconda franchise as a whole, like him being the one who decapitated the anaconda with a machete after getting out the cave, and him killing all the anacondas using the flare gun that set them on fire and blew them up.
