"Good gracious! It's news to me he had anything worth stealing!" The driver exclaimed.
"He's hung cups for gardening." Said the fireman. "And as if that wasn't enough, the scoundrels had the cheek to pinch his car to make off with them."
"Not that new one he's so proud of!" Chris cried.
"The very same one." The guard nodded. At that moment, Thomas arrived at the station for his and Chris told him all about what had happened.
"One less for me to have to worry about hitting on a level crossing, if you ask me!" Thomas scoffed.
"That car meant a lot to the stationmaster! I bet you'd be cross if someone stole Annie and Clarabel!" Chris replied.
