Description Meanwhile, James continued to work dilligently on his temporary reassignment to the mainline, pulling passengers and trucks. The other engines, Gordon and Henry especially, were glad that he would be staying a little while longer, but James was anxious to get back to Killdane. He figured that the only way to do that was to keep his mind off that and focus on working hard. The other engines could tell he was anxious about something, and they decided to confront him about it.  "Is something wrong, James?" Asked Gordon and Henry when they saw him arrive at Tidmouth Sheds after he returned from a goods train.

"No...nothing's wrong. Why?" James wondered, confused.

"Well, it's just that you've been acting strange lately, since Lady of Legend had to go to the works." Gordon answered.

"You've just seemed so anxious. You're not talking to us as much. What's going on? Can we help you?" Henry added.

"No...I...don't need help." James answered, firmly. Then, it was Maud's turn to speak up.

"You're worried about her aren't you?" She asked. James' eyes widened and wheesh caught in his safety valve. How could she have known? "I met Calynn at the junction a few days ago and we talked. You're anxious to get back to her. You miss her." James knew there was nothing he could do to divert the topic away from this. Of course, Maud wasn't the only one who knew. James had first told his plans to Gordon about proposing to Calynn.
