Description This is a selection of passenger engines from all five of the major Scottish railways inherited by the LNER and LMS. In this set of sprite is an NBR H class (LNER C11), a Caledonian Railway 72 Class, a GSWR 381 class, a GNSR F class (LNER D40/SECR G class) and a Highland Railway Loch Class. Most of these classes were retired early in the Grouping years, but one, GNSR number 49 Gordon Highlander was saved for preservation after withdrawal by BR and is now stored at the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway.
