HELLO! .... I've been to a number of N.D. FOOTBALL and BASKETBALL games years back ....
When DIGGER PHELPS coached basketball team and LOU HOLTZ coached the FOOTBALL team
and won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ....
I worked for a company who's owner had 'season' tickets but couldn't attend many games due to
'business' committments, etc. so I got to go in his place .... GRINS ....
TRUE STORY next! ....
Was at an N>D. HOME FOOTBALL game sitting in the SOUTH END ZONE stands staring at TOUCHDOWN JESUS
at the NORTH end ....
N.D. was playing a service academy team that day .... Just before HALFTIME, the announcer told the crowd
that at HALFTIME they were shooting a few 'scenes' for an upcoming N.D. Movie for release next year and
asked the crowd to STAY put and CHEER! ....
OUT came the 'cast' and they ran the 'plays' at the END of the RUDY movie everyone saw - including myself
a year later when it came out .... I have it today on FULL HD DVD ....
"RUDY" was/is STILL the ONLY N.D. player to EVER be 'carried off' on the shoulders of team mates in N.D. HISTORY ....
