With our '82' temps here last weekend, I had a BUNCH of them INSIDE the house! ....

Sounds less like a house and more like a parking lot.  I hope Orkin has a monster truck for that Bug infestation!

I learned online of all places, to take my 'vacuum' cleaner and SUCK them ladybugs up
and THEN take them OUTSIDE to the GARDEN area where they are SUPPOSED to be GOOD
for plants, etc.? ....

NOT SURE IF that WORKS as said above but figure I'd TRY it ONCE .... WINK

According to Wikipedia, the front turn signals were moved from the fender tops to the bumper for the 197FIVE model year (and possibly not til 76 for the Karmann convertibles).

Agree with SwiftysGarage .  Volkswagen Beetles have remained the same for decades and likewise for the Volkswagen culture. People can modify them as they see fit, as the parts are interchangeable. The owner likely hated those turn signals and wanted a different cleaner look. The rims are also custom.

Sign on the car calls it a 1973 (I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark the owner knows what year his car is ).  Beetle parts are so interchangeable I don't go by 'this part is this year' because the owner can literally rig one any way he sees fit.  I saw a '70s Bug with '60s fenders this past weekend.

Also, while I use it frequently myself, Wikipedia is hardly a perfect source.  I use the IMCDb to cross-reference things.
