My late dad wanted to do that to his Pinto.

Had a friend back in the 80's, stuffed a full-blown 428 Thunderbird in a Bobcat. (Pinto bodies with Merc trim). He didn't drive it much. It scared him. Well, no Sxxx, Sherlock! He'd fire it up and the whole car shook like a Harley.
This is a beautiful Polar White Pinto.

When I was a kid, a friend's brother-in-law managed to cram a 427 into a Vega. Scary to ride in! (1973-4ish)

A 428 in a Pinto/Bobcat is insane. Fun, but insane. Never heard of that swap being done before, but kudos to him for doing it! He probably needed to replace his trousers and clean the seats every time he took it out for a drive.
Was it a Bobcat hatchback?
Or wagon?

It was the hatchback. Pinto had the stallion paint that year, and Bobcat had some special paint as well. Can't remember what it was called, but it was supposed to give an extra 10 mph. Or so it was said ...

I value my privacy, so I try to be courteous to other people too. In the hope they'd show me the same courtesy if posting pics of my car.

Exactly! That is part of the reason for the comment I just made.
